The Linux Loader team is proud to announce the evolution of the Lindbergh Loader.

This new work-in-progress release introduces compatibility with Windows for selected Lindbergh titles, while maintaining full support for Linux.

Our goal is to eventually support all Lindbergh games on Windows, and expand to other Linux-based arcade platforms such as Namco N2/ES1,
Raw Thrills, and other systems across both operating systems. At the same time, we will continue adding new features to improve the overall
experience.

We will follow the same exact model used with the original Lindbergh Loader—meaning it will always remain free and open source, with no DRM,
no online activation, and no shady practices. This makes it an ideal platform for contributors who want to help expand compatibility across
more games and systems.

The first Windows release will support the following Lindbergh titles:

* The House of the Dead 4
* The House of the Dead 4 Special
* Virtua Tennis 3
* After Burner Climax
* Let's Go Jungle
* Let's Go Jungle Special
* Initial D 4 (JAP & EXP)
* Initial D 5 (JAP & EXP)
* Ghost Squad Evolution
* Too Spicy
* And of course, OutRun 2

Although the Windows loader is still in very early stages, it already includes several important features that will help drive future
progress, such as:

* Full integration with the original Lindbergh Loader core
* Shared libraries loading
* Pbuffer implementation
* And more

The pace at which we improve the loader and expand support will largely depend on community feedback and support. We are a very small team
working in our spare time, and all we can promise is to do our best. By support, we don’t just mean optional donations via Patreon—we mean
support in any form. This includes joining the team to help with development, donating hardware, or even creating tutorials and guides to
help others in the community. All of this is greatly appreciated.

For now, the original Lindbergh Loader will continue to be hosted on GitHub. Once we are confident that this new version is stable and free
of major issues, the current repository may be archived.

We are also working on a GUI (currently WIP), as we understand that many Windows users prefer not to rely on command-line tools. At the same
time, this will also be a welcome feature on Linux. As always, the scope of this project will depend heavily on community feedback and
support.

We hope you enjoy this new release, and we welcome any feedback, bug reports, or suggestions.

Amazing! Finally, what a great option. ABC never worked properly and never improved with Teknoparrot, and being closed source might have been the main reason for that. So awesome to see such a great project and great sharing philosophy.

Quick tips:

  • To create controls.ini: linuxloader.exe --create controls
  • To create linuxloader.ini: linuxloader.exe --create config
  • To fix Afterburner ABX01 error:
    • Launch the game adding -t option: linuxloader.exe "D:\Roms\After Burner Climax (1.0 Rev. A) (2006-06-19) (Japan, USA, Export) [Sega Lindbergh Yellow] [TP]\abc" -t
    • Enter "Game Assignments" (Q key), then set "cabinet movement" to OFF
    • Quit menu and close game
    • Relaunch game without -t
