I tried to sign up to the Singe forum, but I guess it's not setup yet. Here are a few errors I'm getting while using Singe. Displaying the following games I get an error in a Singe console window. Crime Patrol, Crime Patrol 2, After closing Singe I have to close this singe console window. libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile libpng warning; iCCP: cHRM chunk does not match sRGB If a game is added to the menu, but does not have I will relay it, but those warnings are not important. Karis
Il y a 22 heures, phasermaniac a dit : Hi! Im using a 15khz crt, and I have the old daphne runing at my maximum progressive resolution, 640x240 (that looks better than 320x240), using: -fullscreen_window -ignore_aspect_ratio? So the question is, how to use ignore aspect ratio in 2.0? Also, the new overlay images seems closer to the original, isnt it? But at these resolutions they look blurry, when in the old veraion showed pixel perfect. Also, any plan for suppirting dual lightguns (Raw input)? Thanks! with -a in the bat you can force aspect ratio (click on singe exe for exact spelling). That said, i wonder if it can work at those resolutions. The overlay images will be way too big. Karis
Il y a 17 heures, maabus a dit : Ok I went to the data directory and removed the .index files. Reran the games, and I get the same thing. I deleted the .mp4 from the video folders, but i think that killed the games. I also disconnected my remote system that was connecting to my arcade system, and it's still happening. System specs... Desktop intel core i9-9900k 3.60GHz 32 GB Ram Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super With such a monster it should run fine.
Karis
Il y a 3 heures, maabus a dit : Yeah your games seem to work fine from your link and running the bat file. I just included what happened when running from the menu in case someone else wanted to use the menu. I have not tried downloading your games from the links on the singe website and see if those work in the menu. This speed issue is so frustrating. I was looking forward to playing your games. I hope i can get it figured out. watching the .mp4 is fine, so it does have to be something to do with the index. Frustrating yes. I don't understand. It has something to do with the sound probably. Could you make a video ? Edited October 29, 2020 by Karis
Karis
Il y a 13 heures, maabus a dit : @Karis Every game is exactly like this. Even when running them from your upload. adding new games, and reindexing makes no difference. https://streamable.com/k3gnf5 the .mp4 plays fine when watching just the video. I will forward this to Scott. Maybe he has an idea. Looks like a sound problem.
Karis
il y a 2 minutes, maabus a dit : @Karis Thanks.... there must be some sort of issue with Singe and audio. I disabled my sound devices in device manager, and now singe wont even load. it locks up when trying to run the menu, and wont load at all when trying to run from your upload. I don't know, ive made at least 20 installations without any problem. Anyone that gets fast video and garbled sound check your sound drivers. Check if you have Realtek sound drivers. I changed my drivers to generic Windows High Def sound drivers and the video and sound is now working correctly. If someone has Realtek audio, and Singe is working please let me know what version your sound drivers are. Great news ! Enjoy the games.

Rex2573
Il 25/10/2020 Alle 22:51, Karis ha scritto: Hello everyone, i'm proud to announce the launch of Singe 2.0 designed by Scott Duensing. For history, Singe 2 is the successor of Singe, a dll for Daphne allowing to adapt/create laserdisc games. Singe 2 is no longer dependant of Daphne. It is a standalone program (for Windows 32/64, Mac, Linux) and many games are already available. In this thread i will mostly talk about my own releases for Singe, but you can find many more on the official website : https://kangaroopunch.com/?page=Software%2F3000-2006-singe.xjs&fbclid=IwAR2eZxtVnzNR7bZWKozmVLAb6NDcVN3bpKAIDicZbavUl72N35nGW9i_00I Singe 2.0 Features: - any resolution/format for games (Daphne/singe was limited to m2v and was experimental at 1080p) - adaptable overlay (Daphne Singe was limited) - No maximum lenght limitation (was 65536 frames) - Better controls (all buttons of the pad usable) - Many more... GAMES: You can find the links for the games on the Singe website. For my own games i provide you this link (i suggest you use it since it's updated as soon as i make modifications/corrections) : https://mega.nz/folder/lf4UnaAQ#7IEiWRemKP7SRt2yZuOoUA For now here is the list : - Cliffhanger : 1080p Adaptation of the Classic. Cliffhanger includes 2 "missing link" extra levels based on the Lupin/Cagliostro movie. - Dragon's Lair II enhanced : No need to explain. Dl2 includes the new enhanced rom allowing a better gameplay with the special objects. This is the native 4/3 version. - Fire & Ice : fan game based on the Ralph Bashki movie - Timegal HD : HD (upscaled) version of the Taito classic. This is the native 4/3 version. - Titan A.E : fan game based on the Don Bluth movie. a few notes : - In Cliffhanger if you choose the level Easy you will have a regular set of arrows (Up/Down/Left/Right/Hand/Feet) and instructions instead of Stick/Move. - In Timegal you can add some scanlines from the option menu. For all those games, you will find an Assets directory, including pictures (logo, cover,...) for you favorite launcher Also, two new games will be released before december. Those are challenging games with new kind of moves. More about this later... In order to launch the games, you just need to click the corresponding bat file. CONTROLS: 1 or Start : Start the game 9 or Right Thumb : Options menu Left Control or Button A : Action Left Alt or Button B : Action 2 (used as feet in Cliffhanger) Arrows or pad : Move Esc or Start+Select : Exit When you're in the attract mode you can push the action button for more detailed controls. In the Options Menu, you can define many things like Starting Level (and Scene) - So yes you can finally play the unreachable levels of DL2 - Number of lives and Death Rewind (read the tutorial for more details). Death rewind efines where the game resets when you die: - Level (most boring option - not recommended) - Scene - Last move (note that this option can be tricky in some games where moves are close to each other) - Next move (like Space Ace, note that this option can be tricky in some games where moves are closeto each other) 4/3 VERSIONS: For Cliffhanger, Fire and Ice & Titan A.E i also made 4/3 versions (if your screen is not 16/9). Here is the link : https://mega.nz/folder/MeQmCBRK#FXggSXJUaW3ho60PzaQ7DA You just need to put the file in the Movie directory (replacing the 16/9 movie). If you need a specific resolution for your system (lower resolution for example), just ask and i'll consider it. TUTORIAL: With Singe 2.0 you can create your own FMV game. It's not difficult and does not require any programming skills. For this you will find a complete tutorial pdf in the link, along with a "Blank" directory wich contains all you need. So, i hope you enjoy all of this and don't hesitate to ask questions. I will do my best to answer quickly. forgive me my amazing friend..if possible, only if possible..post please a 16/9 version of DRAGON'S LAIR TIME WARP a nd of TIME GAL,PLEASE

For TG too but possibly it will remove some essential parts of the action. It is essential to understand that those 16/9 versions do not really exist, they are fake 16/9. They enlarged the width of the screen and so up and down part are cut out. Don Bluth made the game in 4/3. I will post them but i don't support these recrop. Whoremoan
I'm trying to run these from the commandline so I can make scripts to add them to Emulationstation. I've managed to get most of them to work, but i'm having issues with Cliff Hanger, Fire & Ice, TimeGal & Titan. These seem to be in a slightly different format to the rest as there is no .txt file with the video files. Any idea how I run these from the command line? In Launchbox, i declare the bat as if it was the rom (with no emulator). Maybe it works in ES ? The fact my games don't have txt file is because i use mp4 instead of m2v (better quality/compression) but it does not change the bat file anyway. After -v you declare the path to the video (a txt if you're using the old singe system, or a real video in my case).

Inside the directory where the files are for those games (e.g. Cliff), there is a file called games.dat. phasermaniac
I have just opened some new overlay images of crime patrol, and the are not pixel perfect, as they were in the old version. So they look blurry. It is more noticeable the smaller resolution you use. Also, when you reload without using all bullets, the world "reload" is shown for an instant, when it shouldn't. I know they are not vey important problems, but makes it feel chunky. Thanks! No plans for dual lightgun support? It would be amazing!
