update got it working i can insert coins =) and controls with gamepad

Hello,

 

I use " MagiciansDead_2020_02_22.rar " and Jconfig 1.7.

JConfig :

- Nesys Emulation only

- The other options crash "BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe" process... (sv patch, RFID...)

 

The game work but i havn't control (except "exit button")

 

At boot screen :

- USBIO : NG

- RFID : NG

 

With the first patch MAGIDEIO.DLL :

- USBIO : OK

- RFID : OK

 

Have-you an idea ?

 

PS : For those who have leap motion, is it functional ? 

PS2 : test with patched and non patched "BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe" :

It not only patched Leap Motion detection (NG) but also USB I/O detection (NG) error

Yes Leap Motion works fine in game with the Orion 4.0.0 drivers

those are my settings, i use the dll from jconfig and jconfig v1.7

i used the exe from slightly english zip but the original works just as good

i have controls ingame but no clue what the hand gestures are or ability to use them with just joypad connected.

 

the slightly english exe makes things a bit easier but if you can't read japanese then its still very much a big mystery lol :P

the sv folder appear, but "original exe", "patched exe" and "english exe" crash.

No screen, the process is killed.

 

Only patched exe and first version MAGIDEOI work for me...

 

You use the dll from jconfig. This is " MagiciansDead_2020_02_22.rar " or other ?

- Extract "MagiciansDead_2020_02_22.rar" on "BppGame\Binaries\Win64" folder and overwrite "MAGIDEIO.dll"

- Extract "JConfig 1.7" from " iDmacXv1.7_2019_12_20.rar " (only "JConfig.exe")

- Put your options on Jconfig and save :

  - "monitor_input.bin" and "monitor_misc.bin" generated

- Extract "1 - Magicians Dead Slightly English.rar" on on "BppGame\Binaries\Win64" folder and overwrite "BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe"

 

launch "BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe"

 

And  nothing....

when u patch those files it takes like 1 minute atleast it did for me. its like it loads but just have to wait haha it works though

i do same but it takes around a minute for anything to happen then i get the boot screen the game kicks in

The process is auto killing on task manager. I can wait but nothing appear...

 

But if I uncheck RFID Emulation and SV patch. The game run with no controls

 try the files on the first page MaDead.7z isnt what i used. thats the old one and repeat ur steps things should be working from there.

I already download "Magicians Dead TTX4.zip" file. It's the same archive renamed in zip (7z archive). (I do FC /L on 2 files)

Did you try to hexedit the original BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe ?

At offset 84E650, 40 becomes C3

 

Remove JConfig for the moment

Then double click BppGame-Win64-Shipping.exe patience it takes while

 

I do not use JConfig yet 

I will to reconfigure the correct button layout for a wiimote nunchuck

At the moment it is a mess buttons are all over the place instead only the two buttons on front of the nunchuck  

Maybe i will try to do it in DefaultInput.ini

The game work with the modified offset 84E650 and the first MAGIDEIO.dll

first NG become OK with Orion 400 beta SDK

 

It's with Jconfig that my game crash. I look the dmp file from %appdata% and contact you for feedback

The Wii nunchuck has not only two buttons and a stick but also a accelerometer

Is this used in Magicians Dead ?

Like the Wii Remote, the Nunchuk also provides a three-axis accelerometer for motion-sensing and tilting

The Nunchuk's accelerometer is an STMicroelectronics LIS3L02AL.

Accelerometer is not used in game and there are 3 buttons on the nunchuck as the stick can be clicked also for button 3

I don't know. I have radeon for my PC and nvidia on my arcade cabinet.

 

 

So, I test all process on my CAB. I have same problem. Process crash with JConfig. it's OK for the First version of MAGIDEOI.DLL. Thank Ducon !

For enter in test mode, on qwerty keyboard, press "Left Shift + Right Shift". For azerty keyboard, press "Alt+left shift" in game for switch to qwerty

This has been working great! The in game maps are enormous multilevel worlds! Load times in game are crazy though! Hopefully someone can put together a more comprehensive controller guide for the wiii controller, motion is critical to in game play.. It's still playable without but without it you basically just walk around the worlds..  cant complete throwing the fireball in beginning training. So kinda stuck there.. so amazing.. cant wait to play more once better controls configured.

SO basically this works flawlessly. I just had to replace the dll again for it to work correctly. The leap device works perfectly (just need an extension to get it positioned at the right place). Anyone know if we can save and/or play more than 2 levels before "game over" and you have to start over again?

There is also a sequel "Magicians Dead Next Blazing" (TTX4 as well). Would be great to have it also :)

i think this dump is „magicians dead next blazing“.. the ingame-title-screen shows the „next blazing“ logo

The game was just for 1 year and 11 months in the arcade

Maybe we got the latest updated version

Youpi Matin! Here is the V2 with full source code included as usual: MAGEIO-v2.7z

Here is the V2.1 with full source code included as usual: MAGEIO-v2.1.7z

 

Here are the improvements:

 

1. No need for a patched executable anymore. You can just use the dll with the original executable and everything will work. So you can delete your patched executable

2. All inputs are now supported: Test, Service, Coin, etc.

3. There is an input to quit the game easily

4. All inputs can now be configured and remapped. Just edit MAGIDEIO.ini

5. Minor fixes for A/B/X/Y buttons (thanks @line for the report)

 

Just extract MAGIDEIO.ini and MAGIDEIO.dll in MaDead\BppGame\Binaries\Win64

Does it take awhile to load at the force skill set screen? After I select a skill set I don’t see the timer count down. It takes awhile and then the game starts. I’m using the latest patch from ducon2016. I’m also using my leap motion controller together with Xbox 360 controller. Do I need to change anything in the test menu?
