Of course he was. If your a subscriber to tp. you get to try newer betas. if your not a subscriber you get cxbxr Version 9. only.

Yes, I went to Discord and they told me the same. It seems suscribers get access to new cxbx betas.

Is there any other way to get the new cxbx betas to replace the one that comes with TP for non sucribers ?

As far as I know there aren’t because they aren’t supposed to be given to people who aren’t subbed. I’m a subscriber, so I know how well each new game works.

Ollie King: plays at around 15 fps on higher end intel processors

Gundam Battle Operating Simulator: Runs well on my PC, but I’ve heard reports from others about lagging

Crazy Taxi 3: West Coast course has graphical issues, but is playable. The other two courses have severe graphical issues, so they are unplayable at this time

well that would  defeat  the whole subscribers section and testing. bottom line is, you subscribe  you get beta versions

Here you go  and included YACardEmu. WMMT 1 (V307)

Is there any extra configuration that needs to be done? When I enter the game with Yacard, it gives an internet error, and Yacard displays the message "Pipe broken".

[config]
basepath = ./
serialpath = \\.\pipe\YACardEmu
targetdevice = S31R
autoselectedcard = card.bin

Save as Config.ini and make sure it is in the same dir as YACardEmu. this is why it is best to extract into the game dir.

then run YACardEmu.exe

it should show,
[2026-05-01 21:58:11.701] [info] Starting API server...
[2026-05-01 21:58:11.726] [info] Running...

then load game and press the Insert Card button you set. when it gets to the Yes/No screen.

If not you have something blocking it.

The new CXBXR TP build has been merged with TP, so you don't need to be a sub to play it.

New games

WMMT 1 (Japan)

Ollie King

Crazy Taxi 3 (might have severe graphical issues. Haven't tested the public version)

Edit: CT3 still isn't working. Not sure when/if it will be playable

Yes, I noticed that Ollie King is not running at full speed. Anyway, the speed is enough for the game to be playable, especially in my case with a low-end PC!

The issue with CT3 is the headlights (Courses 2 & 3), which make them unplayable—something Reaver will need to look into.

when you're in a game you have to do an "Alt Tab" and come back to the game so that it doesn't ram as much. it's because of the launch of the bios (if we could remove the bios display) because it opens a first window for the bios then it closes and re-opens the game window, it eats up proc and ram, so alt tab fixes the thing once in the game, would have to work on it to have the option to remove the bios

I don't think that's possible

Or you could make the BIOS window go into the background or be hidden, or have a single window for both the BIOS and the game. Either way,
it's still a problem even if you have a powerful PC that can handle this bug. For example,
if you import Teknoparrot CXBX into software like Hyperspin or something similar, the fact that it switches windows causes a loss of focus.

After all, it's not Teknoparrot's fault; it's CXBX itself that's designed that way. Even for Xbox games, there's a dual window.

That could work. Most Chihiro games require the bios.

I'm not saying we should get rid of the BIOS, but we need to rethink how everything starts up at boot so that the focus is direct and only on the game window.

Sometime ago, I took an ahk script that was made by some user from this forum, to load wmmt games with the "old" cxbx fork
I adapted it to run the teknoparrot versions, not using UI
Maybe there is a better way to do it
Here is what I have:

CXBXPath = "H:\Teknoparrot\Extras\Launchers\Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 [Japan, GDX0015, 2005.02.18].bat"
XBEPath = "H:\Teknoparrot\Games\WMMT2j\V322.xbe"
Run, YACardEmu.exe
Run, %CXBXPath% /load "%XBEPath%"

Escape::
    Process,Close,YACardEmu.exe
    Run,taskkill im YACardEmu.exe F
    ExitApp
return

"Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 [Japan, GDX0015, 2005.02.18].bat" only contains the command line options to run the game. In this example would be: H:\Teknoparrot\teknoparrotUi --profile=WMMT2j.xml --startMinimized

What I want is:
- Run YAcardEmu to provide card saving support
- Run the game from Teknoparrot command line (not using UI)
- End YAcardEmu, so I don't have to do it manually (supossedly, the line "Run,taskkill im YACardEmu.exe F" is to do that, but it does not work for some reason

I'm not an ahk expert, so maybe somebody can find a way to do this

Thanks in advance

; 1. Define Paths

CXBXPath := "H:\Teknoparrot\Extras\Launchers\Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 [Japan, GDX0015, 2005.02.18].bat"

XBEPath := "H:\Teknoparrot\Games\WMMT2j\V322.xbe"

; 2. Launch Card Emulator and Game

Run, YACardEmu.exe

Run, "%CXBXPath%" /load "%XBEPath%"

; 3. Exit Script and Game on Escape

$Escape::

       Process, Close, YACardEmu.exe

       Run, taskkill /f /im CXBX.exe,, Hide ;  Hide task that has been killed.

ExitApp

return

How it works (Line-by-Line)
  • CXBXPath := "...": Assigns the location of your launcher batch file to a variable.
  • Run, "%CXBXPath%" /load "%XBEPath%": Launches the game using the CXBX /load parameter. The double quotes around the variables are essential if your folder names contain spaces.
  • $Escape::: Creates a hotkey for the "Escape" key. The $ prevents the key from triggering itself in a loop.
  • Process, Close, ...: Immediately terminates the specified process.
  • Run, taskkill /f /im ...: A "force-kill" command for the emulator. I added CXBX.exe here as you likely want to close the game window too when you hit Escape.
  • ExitApp: Shuts down the AutoHotkey script itself. ]
Note: Ensure that YACardEmu.exe is in the same folder as this script, or provide its full file path (e.g., C:\Games\YACardEmu.exe) so the script can find it. (Example)

Hi.

Nobody's know how to fix graphic vertex issue on Crazy Taxi on cxbx teknoparrot build.

Sadly the game is practically not playable due to this issue.

Reaver said that he's waiting for the new DX11 version of CXBXR to be ready. Until then, unless someone else decides to work on it, it’s unplayable. The CXBXR team is also working on getting the Original XBOX version playable.
