Is there any way to set this game to free play v2.3? I have the test menu keys configured in teknoparrot but they aren't working. I'm using the coin file download from the earlier post. Also can this game run at 60FPS?

Test Menu works fine here.  The button you set for Test is used to enter Test Mode, and also used to select the option.  Then the Test Menu Up/Down moves through the options, and changes the value after selecting the option with Test Button. set coins to zero, and continue coins to zero.  Then save & exit.  If you can't get that to work, you can edit the coin.ini and change [CoinSet]Coin=0 and [CoinContinue]Coin=0.  Game is probably locked to 30fps and the game physics could possibly be affected running it higher than that.

no.  you need TP and a subscription to play.  It appears to me that TP has implemented the dongle emulation from within own their software instead of being an entirely different decrypted exe or game files, so it's possible it may never be standalone unless another dev would get and decrypt the dongle themselves.

It’s doubtful there will be a standalone version coming. The original game required a dongle with some type of encryption for the exe & DLL. Seeing as no new decrypted files were released to play the game, it’s highly likely Teknoparrot has emulated the dongle itself. Otherwise if it was just a patch to remove the dongle checks, After Dark would have been playable as a standalone game a long time ago.

That's the reason why i did mention this before it was playable on teknoparrot the standalone will not happen because the virtools dongle drm is in the game's executable it's possible to rid it like that's really stupid the developers did implemented that unlike tenkoparrot did emulate the dongle for this game.

Grab hippopippo's coin file, drop it in the same dir as the .EXE load game press whatever button you used for coins and then start...just tried it...works great

remember...it's only for subs..

Has anyone tried hell difficulty yet in test menu as it feels like the game is speeded up and damaged is bigger wondering if this is correct 

Guns are more faster and responsive too which is great

id call it a standalone but its technically not as it needs TP

everything is in the folder, launch TeknoParrotui, and adjust the settings and the game location (game is located in the roms folder)

i have made a convenient exe so you can simply launch it with that (once you configure the game locaiton in TP)

theres a installer file in the root folder that ends with "INSTALL THIS" this resolves audio hissing issue if you run into that

**KEEP THIS AS ITS OWN FOLDER / GAME** DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR CURRENT TEKNOPARROT MAIN EMULATOR**

Enjoy! From Vic_VP along side an anonymous person in my discord that supplied parts of this

Just don't ever update that TPUI or will require subscription if you do.  It's not really a secret. When After Dark got added, they forgot to actually add the subscription requirement so it worked without sub until Pocky pushed an update.  So it's just using that particular version of the TP software that you can never update or it will then need a subscription.  So it's not some special version that someone made, or hacked.  Just an old version that the TP team made a mistake when they pushed the update.
