It's weird—Taiko 12, 13, and 14 booted up perfectly on the first try, but the other Taiko games just won't work; I get an "invalid disk" error.

I just tried Game NM00051 and it boot great. so i will grab the others and try. :) there is also a PNACHES for 45,46,53 and 54. haven't tried them. but look a couple of pages back. forgot who posted them. did you set the stuff in the test menu for them in JVS controls. in the controls section?

sorry reading as i go along. not into the drums stuff. I been in and out of bands my whole life and own a home studio for playing and recording the real stuff.lol give me a list of the ones not working. i will look..  who knows.lol

Thank you so much for your help, I made all the rom folders for the Emusempre's version. I'm just following what he did, but when after i scan a game it gives me error at lunch. Thanks a lot for your support.

says error "cannot open arcade media image"

"cannot open arcade media image" usually indicates an issue within the `acgame` file—specifically,
a naming mismatch between the contents of the `acgame` file and the actual files it points to
(such as the `.chd`, the `.elf` file, or the `NV00...` file in the `memcards` folder).

well to base it down to the issue, it the subdir=. got to know where the games folder name is. reason for "cannot open arcade media image"

to use the bezel feature. what i did was create a bezel folder, found a premade bezel. name it the games serial example NM00037. in the main ui. ud locate the game tied to that serial number. right click and ull see set bezel. ull locate the bezel folder select the serial of the game and when u load the game the bezel will appear. its like adding a cd cover. but ur creating a bezel folder instead. the image in the video is an example not the actual game bezel lol.

Screenshot 2026-06-30 025024.png

easiest way is make the bezel.png toss it in the games folder. right click on the game when pcsx2x6 is loaded and add bezel.

I'm not really into emulation right now either;
I'm working on *Dark Age of Camelot*. I've made it portable and local, and I'm populating the game, creating quests, and so on—it's a never-ending job, lol.

Remarkable game. i really like it. :)

but there is 2 versions floating around not working. this is why i put this working one up. the subdir= is empty. because i put the acgame files in the games folders and all in roms folder I think the .chd was different on the non-working ones.

Making some slick general bezels to cover the major series in order to don't have necessarely one specific design for each game, when done I will post it.

Ahh there you are. i seen you quite a few pages back. but couldn't find the post. mega pages per day. lol anyway. the last 3 updates. killed my program. I am going over it and seeing wth is happing. so far between system 2x6 and TP. the sram.bin is getting renewed per play and writing over my alters. so Have to figure it out. damm triple security. even if you delete the sram.bin it's writes a default buffer and directly writes an update. but i do have half of the control back. .but when i get it back up and running. I will give you a copy with simple directions. I got to the part were i can take the hex and convert it to just a normal command in English  to alter stuff. and with tick ON/OFF . Just have to finish up the rest. some games have different values and positions.  I might just combine what i can for each game. or just have to make one for each game. I will email you here. when done. and then also put it up for all. :)

thank you .  i noticed that my NM00001 RRV1-A (CD-ROM) is 182,108 kb while yours is 182,298 kb. Could it be i have the incorrect chd file ?

What issue are you having with Ridge Racer V? Is it "cannot open arcade media"?
If so, have you checked your `acgame` file to ensure the `subdir=` line is empty?

i dont know how to set acgame for the remaining folders rrvac1 and rrvac 2

Did you create an empty text file named simply "portable" in your emulator's root folder?
If you can't find a solution, there's always Emusempre's pack: just download and unzip it,
and it works right out of the box—then you can import games one by one to populate the emulator's list if needed.
That's the easiest way to play Ridge Racer V without any hassle.

I believe the "no boot" issue resulting in a blue screen is often caused by a bad .elf file; you need the one named proverb.elf.

You need to put it in the "rrvac" folder.

 I already have it mate

Can you please send me the game chd

I doubt that the chd could be the culprit

thanks

Nah, it's not the CHD; you wouldn't get that kind of error if the CHD were corrupt. It's a different issue,
and it's hard to guess the cause—there are so many possibilities: folders or files in the wrong place or named incorrectly,
whether `acgame` points to the right files and is written correctly, whether your ELF files and memory card files are valid and named with the right extensions,
and whether the emulator's game list is set up properly. Also, make sure you have the "portable" file in place before launching the emulator for the first time;
otherwise, it'll create files in your `C:\Users` folder and so on.
I'd recommend starting over with the Emusempre pack—you'll have a working version right off the bat and can start figuring out how it's all put together.
That's what I did; otherwise, I would've been stuck too.

Take some screenshots so I can understand and see where the problem might be—if I spot one.
Include the folder structure, the code from the `acgame` files, and the emulator running with your game list.

For the rrvac1 and 2 entries, you have extra lines; it should look like this:
platform=rrvac
[data]
subdir=
elf=proverb.elf
...instead of what you currently have:
;platform=rrvac1
platform=256
[data]
subdir=rrvac1
elf=proverb.elf
You are missing the correctly edited text files for rrvac 1 and 2.
Otherwise, I don't see any other issues; in any case, if you launch just rrvac and not 1 or 2, it won't change your boot problem—it's strange.
Do you definitely have this file in the memcards folder: NM00001 RRV3, Ver.A a025539111143a.ps2?

yes i have the correct dongle

So what do you think could be wrong?

You are still convinced its not the   RRV1-A (CD-ROM).chd?

Yours is few byes larger in size from mine.

Where did you get your CHD file? I don't think that's the culprit, but worst-case scenario, you can redownload it here:
https://transfer.it/t/6RXr3b5RUTRL (mirror: https://limewire.com/d/FIJgv#1lhEXEfsR0)
or here:
https://archive.org/download/Namco2x6Games/rrvac/
For the file in "memcards," you just need to drop it into the "memcard" folder; you don't need to assign it to a slot in the emulator settings.

Guys, can someone send a ready-to-run file for Taiko no Tatsujin? I tried to do it myself but I always have problems running it.

Edit: It's no longer necessary. The problem I had was that I was using a bad boot file. I've fixed it now.
