  4. Updating mame is a major pain because the developers keep changing random stuff in roms and there is no clear list of what changed or which roms need to be fixed. Sometimes you upgrade and think everything will be ok but randomly discover games not working anymore. I tried many different tools to scan roms but never managed to do the simple job I need: just scan the roms I have and find which ones need updates. So I made a small tool for that: scanroms_v2.1.7z For example, I updated today to 278 and ran the tool and it gave me the comprehensive list of roms that need to be updated below. When roms are missing, sometimes you already have them in another archive so check the bottom of the log. If not you need to find a good source for the new roms. Usually I like to google for "mame 278 rom sooner", but if you have any better recommendation please share with everyone.   5. 1. Download update packs and dat's from pleasuredome 2. Install romvault and run once 3. Put update pack into "ToSort" folder, extracted dat into "DatRoot" of RomVault 4. Run RomVault and: a) Click on Update DATs b) Right Click on Mame set that is now showing, and select "Set Dir Mappings" to set your original Mame roms folder directory c) Click on "Scan ROMs" d) Click on "Find Fixes" e) Click on "Fix ROMs" With that you will have your mame set updated to the newest version

Sometimes you need to look in previous versions of mame to find where the existing rom was taken from: http://github.com/mamedev/mame/releases/download/mame0277/mame0277lx.zip [wrally2] wr2.01d 753a138d missing If you look now in the CRC database or in mame0278.xml it says it is part of wrally2, so not helping. But if you look at mame0277.xml you find that it is part of the old wrally2a.   11. voici la configuration des inputs sur mame pour que le jeu AREA 51 SITE 4 fonctionne bien. j'utilise une wiimote avec 3 boutons : GACHETTE (GUN 1 BUTTON 1) A DE LA WIIMOTE = START P1 (BOMBES + P1 start) à la place de la touche 1 du clavier + minus = P1 crédit (à la place de la touche clavier 5) PAR CONTRE LE SON est décalé et ne fonctionne pas normalement......si une personne a trouvé la solution je suis preneur car le jeu est sympa pour l'axe Y je ne sais pas pourquoi il faut juste le faire sur 1 des 2 sinon ca ne fonctionne pas bien... en fait le p1 start correspond aussi au lancement des bombes pas d'autres choix.....j'ai tout essayer ci dessous mon fichier mame.ini pour débloquer les options avec ta touche TAB et accéder au menu service avec F1 et F2 MAME.ini #   13. Ah it seems I had forgotten to put files in the archive. Can you try again and let me know if it works or not? There should be a ScanromsPython folder that also need to be there. If it does not work, I must have made another mistake. First time deploying a python app, so learning. 1. Unpack all files and folder in the root folder of mame, next to mame.exe 2. Run ScanAllRoms.bat

  20. Dump out post 1 (work on custom RA core or with bizhawk) With bizhawk: It works well, but you absolutely need to keep the folder with the MP3s inside, otherwise the music won't start. Since it's managed by the FPGA, it gives it an 'MSU-like' effect.

  23. If you mean the website to get the patches, it's https://sp2x.two-torial.xyz/ Spice seems to still see the 2024112700 data as 2024101500 and that's what it shows up as in the game still. None of the new songs seem to load in? I'm looking through the contents of the rar file and it certainly looks like the stuff needed to load them in. I see xsb, xwb, ssq, jacket, thumbnail, startup.arc, etc among other stuff (maybe customizer stuff, I don't remember when that was implemented). I don't know if maybe asphyxia needs to be updated for it? Edit: Yeah the answer was asphyixia, looks like the plugin was updated 6 hours ago. As far as I can tell all the data the change log says should be there is there. Thanks so much to whoever it is that manages that, you're a hero.

  25. So after I put these 2 files in the arcade roms folder I will be able to insert coins and control with the mouse? If you can't tell I've never used Play! before and it seems overly complicated for such a simple emulator. I don't even see an option in the control set up to insert coins. Is that what these 2 files do is change the control set up or what? Thanks and sorry for not knowing what the hell I'm doing with this.

Appreciate your work but too sorry it was configured with a gun in mind, I need it with the crosshair already calibrated for a mouse as I don't have a gun and all I tried to set it up with the TAB key didn't work, couldn't set the mouse to move down only moves left, right, and up, and is very slow but down didn't work for down.

  33. What did you do exactly? I've tried all sorts of settings and can't get it right, and the gun doesn't register in the test menu to calibrate it either.

  36. Thank you for share it! For the zip I must rename it bg3.zip, and the chd bg3.chd? In the latest teknoparrot update the arcade.def named bg3, but when i launch the game i have error "Sector size mismatch in hdd image, make sure chd file was created with createhd option"

  38. This is a perfect response Hippo! As for the comment about shooting themselves in the foot and the discord being overwhelmed, how is it really any different than any other new game they add? Literally every time they add something, the discord gets flooded with "why don't my game work?" comments & complaints. Be happy they're trying to improve emulation for those two systems, since the real Dolphin devs want nothing to do with Tri-Force, and the Play dev seems more interested in making the console games work on mobile devices. So without TP doing what they're doing, we may have never seen any more improvements with those systems.

As already mentioned a few months ago and after many tests carried out together with my friend Argonlefou, the time has come to release the Chihiro DS v1.0 (Demulshooter) arcade build for full support of the following games : - GHOST SQUAD - THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 3 - VIRTUA COP 3 The package is pre-configured to be played with the Demulshooter, so just download it from the link and unzip it in the main folder of the Cxbx emulator. In addition you will find 3 launchers for the respective games to start everything with a simple click. Currently, I have connected two screens to my computer (one computer monitor and one TV screen), and the display settings are set to extend the desktop across both screens. I would like to know if there is a way to project FESTIVAL PLUS in fullscreen mode on the 'TV screen.'
