I tested Area51 with the settings you recommended, and it looks like I can’t use Direct3D in MAME. I’m getting an “Unable to initialize Direct3D 9” error, even though I have the full DirectX package installed, including DirectX 9. Hi Hippo, Tested on Ryzen 5 9600X, Win11, 32GB Ram The game shows a constant 100% speed, and when I run it without limits it goes up to 200%. However, the actual gameplay is noticeably slower than normal, and you can hear lag in the sound effects. If I had to guess, it feels like it’s running at around 50% of the intended speed when frame rate limiting is enabled. When I run it without limits and it drops from 200% to around 150%, it actually feels like normal speed

No, the game was only recently properly dumped. It’s a special case where you have two LD players running side by side, so I’m not sure if we’ll ever see this supported in Hypseus. The MAME Team is the one that dumped it (and even helped restore the arcade machine to working condition), so there’s hope it might become available in MAME someday. For now, the PlayStation version is the only option if you really want to play it

I’m gonna sound like an asshole, but you really need to check the directories I’ve given you instead of asking for the games all over forums and Discord. You already have all the possible versions of the LaserDisc games there, including the Domesday rips. If it’s not there, then it doesn’t exist—or it was some crappy version that wasn’t worth keeping Just spend some time going through each one and search for what you need.
