Ok boys & girls, today we are giving a twist to the Chihiro Sega emulation scene ! As already mentioned a few months ago and after many tests carried out together with my friend Argonlefou, the time has come to release the Chihiro DS v1.0 (Demulshooter) arcade build for full support of the following games : - GHOST SQUAD - THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 3 - VIRTUA COP 3 The package is pre-configured to be played with the Demulshooter, so just download it from the link and unzip it in the main folder of the Cxbx emulator. In addition you will find 3 launchers for the respective games to start everything with a simple click. New advancements to the gun build! The new fork now plays the games at near perfect speed and with little to no audio issues like the old fork from 2 years ago and now, two player support with two mice is now supported, no need for third party software like DEMUL to separate both players. They are the same, just with 3D in the title instead of 4D and the Japanese version has both Japanese and English voice acting (with Japanese subtitles). I know some people would prefer to play the Japanese (or other Asian region) versions of certain games over the English ones. That reminds me, if anyone else has access to any Korean or Chinese versions of any 357 games and would like them to be preserved, let me know and I’ll be happy to assist you in dumping those I will put together a new compatibility list and a sheet of the dumps we have access to so we can keep track on what we got and what we’re missing.

Updating mame is a major pain because the developers keep changing random stuff in roms and there is no clear list of what changed or which roms need to be fixed. Sometimes you upgrade and think everything will be ok but randomly discover games not working anymore. I tried many different tools to scan roms but never managed to do the simple job I need: just scan the roms I have and find which ones need updates. So I made a small tool for that: scanroms_v2.1.7z For example, I updated today to 278 and ran the tool and it gave me the comprehensive list of roms that need to be updated below. When roms are missing, sometimes you already have them in another archive so check the bottom of the log. If not you need to find a good source for the new roms. Usually I like to google for "mame 278 rom sooner", but if you have any better recommendation please share with everyone. 1. Download update packs and dat's from pleasuredome 2. Install romvault and run once 3. Put update pack into "ToSort" folder, extracted dat into "DatRoot" of RomVault 4. Run RomVault and: a) Click on Update DATs b) Right Click on Mame set that is now showing, and select "Set Dir Mappings" to set your original Mame roms folder directory c) Click on "Scan ROMs" d) Click on "Find Fixes" e) Click on "Fix ROMs" With that you will have your mame set updated to the newest version

I've noticed no differences or improvements comparing the latest Play standalone to the TP fork they include. Other than easier controls configuration.

the exe is easy since it's Unity. it's getting the assembly c sharp decrypted that's the challenge. Game also runs on 2 separate PCs working together. Same with King Kong VR.

One thing about US Ghost Squad is if Card "off" it lets you pick character/weapon/etc. this is cool, but you get a glitch where your character is missing a head. As a workaround, go into the ghost squad game settings and set Card to "on". Then, it will play without customization like JP version and your character will have a head.

I want to spend my 2 cents about namco 2xx/1xx emulation : this has been causing trouble, annoyances and ruining the nights of developers and those who would like to play it without any problems for a while now ... but patiently for a few years now that the adventure began, we have been waiting without haste for every little improvement or fix that is not always released every breath ... this has been happening for years (and let's also add the configuration, conversion and adaptation of each individual rom) ... so now that all this has been integrated into the Parrot (in the simplest way, I believe, click&play) we cannot expect that every single problem discussed in recent years will be fixed in 24 hours by the TP team. I hope I have made you understand my thoughts about not reading fix requests for this or that problem every single day. What has been developed in almost 3 years cannot be expected to be ready soon, immediately and working with everything less than a week after TP integration (and the same goes for Triforce and any porting of other emulators).
