For me all 3 games run very slow, like 4 FPS. I'm on W11, i7 12Gen and RTX 5060ti. Any ideas? Thanks

I have three games that are very slow. I can easily play Virtua Cop 3 outside of this emulator. The FPS is very low on this emulator.

Ghost Squad, runs normal, plays normal with both guns, and I can set it to Free Play but doesn't seem to save for next game play.

House of the Dead 3, runs normal, gets choppy at times during gameplay, pressing F1 exits the emulator so I cannot get into Test Menu.

Virtua Cop 3, starts very slow, pressing F1 also exits the emulator.

 

Administrator rights message starts every time as well and I didn't play the games all the way through. (CXBX.exe, Settings, check "Allow Admin Privilege" resolves)

Possible to remove the Chihiro bezel?

 

 

Ryzen 5600X, RTX 2060, Win10.

Emulator runs fine at 60fps, any slowdown issues are on your side.

To disable bezel just delete d3d9.dll

Everything has been tested and developed with Windows 10.

With Intel processor you can manage lag setting cpu affinity in this way (Task manager-> cxbxr-ldr.exe -> right mouse button and set 2 cores) :

I'm having a lot of issues setting up both the Wangan Midnight build and the lightgun build. I opened the latest Demulshooter which is supposed to have the Chihiro games added to the game list, but they aren't in there. I have the release folder from the download in the same folder as Demulshooter, and it’s not working. I also tried setting up Demulshooter using the commands in the help section for each game on Github, and I kept on getting errors. I feel like I'm missing something, but I'm not sure. Do you have to have CXBXR open and then click on the game.exe file? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I found out that if you play any of the games on window mode and if the window is focused the FPS drops if you click outside the window the FPS goes to 60

same heir all the game load good a can add credit but dont have no gun input for all the 3 game

 

gun work great with all they other lightgun game

 

the old vcop3 work good with the gun

extract demulshooter into the release folder from hippopippo, and setup your device in the demulshooter gui.  double click the game exe.  it will launch the game, demulshooter, and reshade for bezel if you have reshade installed.

The only problem is run games from GS.exe, Hotd3.exe and VC3.exe, give some error.

You can replace emudisk\chihiro with this one to change regions of the games. Backup original.

Although I included entire folders, you should only need to replace ic10_g24lc64.bin

 

This should make all 3 games boot in that region.

 

One thing about US Ghost Squad is if Card "off" it lets you pick character/weapon/etc. this is cool, but you get a glitch where your character is missing a head. As a workaround, go into the ghost squad game settings and set Card to "on". Then, it will play without customization like JP version and your character will have a head.

Can I ask how to start these games from command line in Cxbx Chihiro-DS_1.0 properly?

I have in my ahk:

run cxbxr-ldr.exe /load "My path\Emulators\Cxbx Chihiro-DS_1.0\Roms\GS\vsg.xbe"

But I get this message:

For Wangan 1 and 2 - however, i get the games to boot in separate emulators, all have the same issue on my win 11 machine - starts up with the chirhero logo then just goes to a black screen of death 😞  might start 5% of the time 😞

note : if you have a crt and want to play in pure arcade native res delete d3d9.dll and edit settings.ini in 640 x 480

For Sinden we change keys but for RetroShooter you cannot assign any inputs. In this case I would assign Q or one of the directionals

ouiiii, tiens regarde ça, moi ça marche ya pas de raison, il faut parametrer dans cxbx =  settings > config input, les 2 joystick quoi, tout est détaillé

Not at the moment, those 2 keys are hardcoded in DemulShooter, this was mainly a 'test' setup

 

I don't know when/if there will be a 'Cxbx' page on the GUI with key selection, etc ...

 

Untill then, maybe you can try tu remap Q to O with a simple AHK script ? 

Depending on how RetroShooter driver is sumulating keypress, it might work
