Teknoparrot - The King of Fighters XIII Climax

Hi everyone!

 

I'm trying to start The King of Fighters XIII Climax on latest Teknoparrot version.

I've tried both TypeX2 and NesicaXLive versions, with no success.

The TypeX2 version loads fine, but it stays into black screen forever.

While NEsicaXLive version raises the following exception: "runtime error r6025 pure virtual function call" and then it crashes.

 

Any idea?

One month ago, my dump of King of Fighters Xiii Climax for Nesica works well using Jconfig. But now when I try to start the game, it's show the same issue. I thought that the taito typex 2 version will works, but I see that happen the same issue.

 

I have the same problem with teknoparrot. For now, I will try with other dumps if I receive the same results. It can be some related with Windows 10 I think because this issue appears after the OS build updates.

 

Meanwhile, I will try to search what happen. Arccabview (Shader filter for arcades) doesn't work too since last update of OS. 🫤

I was about to open the issue too, cause I have the same problem for the typex2 version, both with jconfig and teknoparrot. Should we try with game loader all rh ?

Yes, I’m currently using Windows 10 Pro, updated with all latest official patches from Windows Update.

Moreover, my desktop is equipped with NVIDIA RTX 3060 OC Edition and NVIDIA drivers are updated to latest version as well.

So, are you saying the problem depends by latest updates?

if so, we need immediately to disconnect our emulation machines from the network, because we will be never safe.. 😞

Most white or black screen is caused by missing Visual C files or Codex especily with jconfig this post has helped a lot of my subscribers.

Get Roms Working
you dont have to do codex tweeks now just install lav filters.

I’ve just installed LAV filters and unfortunately, nothing has changed..

it’s really strange because KOF XIII (not Climax version) is working fine with my TeknoParrot setup.

Do you suggest to install all other software as well?

@emusempre are you from Italy? Both Climax versions (TypeX2 and NesicaLive) are working fine on your pc build? Maybe I've a bad dump, I've downloaded KOF XIII Climax from the Torrent posted here: 

Are you using the same game dump?

Pocky said today in the TP discord that the issues with this game are due to a recent Windows update for both 10 & 11 (same update that also caused issues with DariusBurst).  She is working on a fix but it should be a few days.

Otherwise there is the Xbox 360 version emulated with Xenia which works very well

Good catch, is KOF the only game affected or are there other victims from this patch?

the 2 persona games, and magical beat, are effected also

I wouldn't bother, Pocky will have fixed soon enough, for myself I don't update, so everything works

Usually what I do as well, block updates, but with my current rebuilt wanted to make sure all the amd drivers where in 😕

Just tried it with the latest update, when I try KOF Climax for Nesica I get :

 

Runtime error:

R6025 Pure Virtual Call Error

 

With KOF13 Climax, I just get a black screen that never goes away unless I esc.

sorry, so they didn't fix the problem :s it's been years since I dropped this KOF and Regulation A for the one on the Xbox version 
with Xenia and the other on the Pcsx2 emulator because a few years ago they already had problems and were annoying to run with 
JConfig or TP

Think its an issue with even jconfig as well now. Definitely a pain to run lately, I thought I had uninstalled the windows update that caused the issue : KB505678, but still happening after its removal...

Just tried latest TeknoParrot Update and nothing has changed.

Both KOF XIII Climax (neverending black screen) and KOF XIII Climax for NesicaXLive (runtime error r6025 pure virtual function call) are NOT working.

 

Fingers crossed for an update from the TeknoParrot Team...

Crossing fingers as well, just upgraded my arcade and its usually my goto game to test if everything is working

As well as Spica Adventure, and Million Arthur (inputs don’t work for either game). I might try running it in administrator mode, and see if that fixes the inputs. Pocky did patch Dariusburst, but not the 6 games that don’t work.

I wouldn't know since all mine work, since I lock updates on windows, and also keep alot of older TP builds, just for the reason that things break,

If you have an older build you could share that would be awesome in a zip file or on something like Pixeldrain

Yeah. I tested the games after I replied, and no they don’t work

Disregard what I said about Spica & Million Arthur. I had the wrong version of Spica & i got Arthur working with Xinput
