I recorded the first 10 minutes of Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I think it looks nice it won't make PS1 games into PS5 games of course but they look as good as they can. I tried various fighting games and racing games too but didn't make any videos. I only see the option for 720p on Youtube for my video though but you can see the resolution in the top right of the video it lowers it to 2K automatically but some games stay in 4K. If you still play PS1 games (and if you never have you should) you should definitely use Duckstation.

I just started using where it shows the resolution when making these two videos, I guess it does lower it to 2K? Or maybe I have something set wrong but anyway it's still better than standard PS1 resolution. I remembered to add sound this time too but there seems to be an echo? I got caught and almost got killed in the beginning, haven't beaten this game in 20+ years.

had duckstation in the past but, i find Xebra and actually the original ePSXe 2.0.5 emu. better as it will play 1 audio track games that have missed files missed audio files such as jonah Lomu Rugby. OR  it will play ps1 iso games that have multi track files. eg; ape escape. but the big one is missing audio track files because others wont do this, in the game JLR game it normally would have repetitive commentary or the 2nd commentator wouldn't show up, but on Xebra it will play the 2nd commentator. these are iso files that just come with 1 track. many ps1 emulators cant handle this, but xebra will . eg;

XEBRA is great for those edge cases and really accurate emulation. Otherwise DuckStation is great if you want to play most games and make those games look really good.

BTW here's my Gran Turismo 1 pictures I took with Beetle PSX HW with PGXP (But you can achieve the same using DuckStation)

i see duckstation has improved since i had it had years ago, whats the best settings for something like MDK.    I usually let the ps1 do its own thing not tinker so much why I use xebra and the original ePSXe-enhanced , DS has a heap of options. how would u make MDK look much better?   i mean compared to ur GT https://imgur.com/a/nvNhwcS and  ridge racer game this looks like shit
