[PC] Crazy Taxi 3 - Definitive Edition

Bonjour,

comme Sega ne le fera sûrement jamais, j'ai entrepris de me faire une Definitive Edition de Crazy Taxi 3 sur PC.

Voici le détail :

 

Les modifications apportées à la version de base :

- ajout compatibilité manette Xbox One + compatibilité gâchettes analogiques

- widescreen hack

- la résolution s'adapte à celle de votre PC (je l'ai testé en 1080p et en 4K)

- ajout d'antialiasing

- V-sync

- Les 4 écrans de démarrage ont été refaits en 1080p

 

Les outils utilisés :

- CT3tweaks https://ct3tweaks.stashymane.com/ utilisé pour passer le jeu en widescreen, 60fps et surtout rend le jeu compatible avec tous les PCs sous Windows 10 (la version de base ne se lance pas du tout sur beaucoup de pcs W10)

- dgVoodoo 2 pour l'ajout du V-sync, résolution automatique et antialiasing http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2.html

- xinput plus pour la compatibilité manette xbox one (gachettes analogiques) https://sites.google.com/site/0dd14lab/xinput-plus

- pour refaire les 4 écrans de démarrage j'ai utilisé Krita, le photoshop libre https://krita.org/fr/

Pour vous en faire profiter! Cela fait un moment que je lis ce forum sans rien poster, donc c'est l'occasion.

ça n'en a peut-être pas l'air mais j'ai passé des jours entiers dessus avant d'en arriver à ce résultat, le jeu de base est peu compatible, instable... le but est ici d'avoir une expérience la plus proche possible du plug & play.

 

Comment y jouer ?

1 - Lancer Gamepad_Config.exe > onglet Configuration manette > choisir sa manette dans la liste puis assigner les touches

2 - Lancer le jeu avec CT3.exe

NE RIEN CHANGER D'AUTRE

Testé avec succès avec une manette Xbox One et une manette Xbox 360.

 

Bonus\Troobleshooting : Jouer sur un PC avec un GPU intégré (donc faible) type Intel HD 600

Le jeu tourne à 60fps sur la plupart des pc mais seulement à 30/45 fps sur mon pc doté d'une Intel HD 600

Pour les petites configs ou les PC sur lesquels le jeu plante, lancer Video_Config.exe > Onglet DIRECT X > Cocher la case "Disable and passthru to real DirectX" > Apply > OK

NE RIEN CHANGER D'AUTRE - On perd le v-sync mais si votre écran est de base paramétré en 60Hz ça n'a aucune incidence.

Je viens d"essayer ta version , en faisant exactement ce que tu dit , et ..... Ca ne marche pas , rien ne ce lance . Le lanceur CT3.exe  ce referme immédiatement ,j'ai une config windows 10 , carte graphique GTX 650 , tout les Visual C++ ,manette Bluetooth PS3 configuré en 360 ; c'est dommage ...Si tu veux des détails je suis dispo pour tester .

Thanks for the upload and Merry Christmas to you all. Unfortiunately the game gets stuck on the "now loading" screen for me. I am using Windows 10 64 bit, I% 6600k, gtx970 and 16g of ram. I have tried runnng as administrator, set in different compatability modes etc. Not sure what i am doing wrong. Thank you for any help.

J'ai corrigé le bug du gamepad qui ne sauvegardait pas les touches assignés, le lien du premier post a été actualisé.

Pour ceux qui ont des problèmes graphiques ou jeu qui ne se lance pas du tout, essayez ça :

J'ai essayé encore une fois et en cochant la case dans DIRECT X et .... Rien ca ce referme direct , mais ; j'ai fouiné un peut , j'ai installé un tweak CT3 :https://github.com/stashymane/ct3tweaks/releases/tag/v0.1.0

J'ai fait la bidouille demandé ( c'est rien  , ca ce règle tout seul ) relancé ton exécutable avec toujours la case coché dans l'onglet DIRECT X , réglé le rafraichissement de mon écran (75Hz) dans le fichier TAXI3_REFRESH.CFG , relancé TON exécutable CT3.exe et , je te laisse deviné ... Ca marche , nickel super terrible, incroyable !

Thanks for this, i was using it on my old machine for a good few months but i have put it into a new machine and i need to re-configure the controls.

 

When i go to configure the pedals with my G920 thats when i come into issues, i do as the instructions say but when i get into the menus it is constantly scrolling down, when i get into the game its like "brake" is being constantly pushed.

Any specific way i should be configuring my pedals?

I never tried to play with a wheel, but as the base game is not compatible with analog controls, your best option is to re-do the X-input plus to the executable using your wheel https://sites.google.com/site/0dd14lab/xinput-plus

Hoping that the wheel will be detected by the app, because it's primary for using gamepad analogs.

I can't do it because I just have an xbox gamepad.

First : when you configure pedal try to press brake for acceleration and acceleration for brake 

If it doesn't work look at logitech configuration if you put pedal in combined mode

Thanks, i'll give this a go. Your recommendation actually kind of reminds me of how i got it working last time. fingers crossed!

*edit* Ok so this was closer, each pedal worked perfectly its just now they are switched, accelerator on the left and brake on the right. any other ideas?(i tried the combined pedal option)

YES EXACTLY , give til tommorw but an even better option to this is play the extremly playble RPCS3 version, its my only option if i cant get engly

I DL THE NORMAL PC VERSION ALL I DID TO GET THE ENGLISH CONFIG, WAS PUT THE NORMAL CONFIG INSIDE THE FOLDER OF THIS VERSION AND WALAA! IT WORKS!

@ Cool Coyote I did swap out the file and the config menus are in English, but all the actual in-game text and menus are still French. Maybe there's a file in the Media folder I can swap out?

hmm interesting its mainly engly for me  I have eng speaking and actually almost everything is in english TEXT .  i even left in the french config file, i just have the pc version and added the english config i dont use the french 1. the game just responded for me.

Well like I said I have done nothing . I dl the arcade file which amazingly went into 4k beautiful resolution for me which is surprising for this site, and then i downloaded the pc version of this game all i did was take out the config file from the pc version and stick it into this arcade version and it works with English, in fact the only french I see is very minor ' pour' de  on the load screen (also english as well) bla bla   BUT INGAME ITS JUST ENGLISH

It is possible to get a full English version using the tools in the post and a version from an abandonware site.

Copy over the music from this version (XBOX version) though unless you like the other music lol

The 4 splash screen files are at the bottom of media folder if you scroll down. Copy over.

This version also has more avi files. Copy over.

 

Desktop icon I made from a pic I found but added transparent background.

m8 i love people trying to do stuff, but honestly if u play the rpcs3 version its the same thing basically, but I was impressed with the result. his result, it does look nice
