    If it is the arcade version, you can use demul shooter for player 2, you will not be able to play it in 2 player mode without doing this, it is worth bearing in mind however that demul shooter will not work at all with the ordinary non arcade main build.  Source: Wild Wolf in emuline's Rpcs3 arcade forum.

    the rpcs3 documentation does say that the min requirements is a 4 core, 8 thread cpu with recommendations of much more.

     

    have you tried adjusting you driver wake up to something maybe in the 2-300 range and/or lowering the spu threads to 1 or 2? A lot of times those setting in rpcs3 help performance drastically.

     

    I think that particular i5 was actually a 6 core cpu, it will therefore have much better performance clock cycle to clock cycle performance than an older generation i7, with everything else being equal as I don't think they had different types of cores at that point in time, you could assume they would all be performance cores, the extra threads in your i7 are virtual cores and will help as opposed to not having them at all but you will be talking maybe a 20% uplift in total, unlike with physical cores where each extra core would add a lot more than that if they were all being used.

    It sounds very much like a driver issue, possibly the card doesn't support it but it could also be that there is a registry error or you might need to reinstall direct x runtime files.

    It is a Japanese Video game Standard, basically a serial connection, similar to USB that attempts to make them more plug and play, it can be used to connect 2 or more arcade machines to each other, like an old printer cable from years ago really before they were USB or wireless.

    I think Smashing Drive arcade was on Dreamcast derived boards, similar to the Naomi but not exactly the same, the Gamecube version will work with dolphin but for the arcade version you will need to use Demul, The key of avalon was on the Triforce I believe there are dumps of it but as far as I know at this point it is not supported on Dolphin.

Indeed mate, it is a shame but hopefully if people try the wii version, they will realize just how good a game this actually is, I am really surprised there was not more interest in getting the arcade version going, it might be a bit of an obscure game to anyone who has not played it on the wii but in my opinion at least, it is right up there with the all time classics and would be a great addition to any collection, I know it is not quite the arcade version but the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - Cross Generation of Heroes (Japan) is apparently almost identical and well worth a try while we wait for the arcade version to be made playable.

Apologies' to the mods if this is in the wrong thread but it was mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread about this game, however this is a video of the actual game running on the original Japanese Wii based hardware on a modded 1up cabinet, there is a dump for Mame but it is not working on Mame obviously, is there any possible way this could be made to work on Dolphin with someone with more knowledge than me, although as I see it is on a PCB board, I appreciate that this might be Impossibe/Very difficult?

     

     

    Edit: There is actually a wii version of this whether it is a direct port or not I am not sure but it is actually the same name as the arcade version rather than Tatsunoko vs. Capcom- Ultimate All-Stars which was released in both Japan and US/Europe.

The hyper is more of an interesting system from a technological and historical point of view than it is for the content of it's games, who knows what SNK could have developed this system into over time though, look at the miracles they worked with the MVS system for which they developed games that really seemed way beyond its technical capabilities for a system from the late eighties.

This emu looks as though it is progressing very quickly, however I have a problem with it that I have had for ages even when updated in that even when you set the games directory, to the same as it was originally working with it can never find the dumps, does anybody have a guide to setting up and using this emulator properly, I have followed the one linked from this thread to no avail, thanks?

    The latest version of the game is only supported on Jconfig, that patch will work only in TP but basically no there is not a preconfigured dump of the latest version for either jconfig or TP in 4k, even with the older dumps certain parts of the game ie the start will always look like it is in windowed mode with the small box at the top of the screen but the game itself is in 4k once you start it, there are adjustments for the screen inside the test mode as well but none of them support 4k so you are always going to have it look like it is starting windowed, 1080 might be achievable with a bit of trial and error in the test menu though.

  11. I knew that Flyinghead was doing good things with this emulator but even I am surprised how far it has come since the last time I looked at it, in any great detail. Naomi 2 emulation is so much improved it is probably better than the real thing when you take upscaling into account and it is not even particularly resource intensive for those who don't have the latest and greatest hardware.

    In most cases at least you will put them in the same place as the game exe or in the case of Linux games I think you will put them in the elf loader 2 folder of TP, you will need to rename the ones you are using as P1 and P2. png in both cases.

    You might need to install legacy components in the windows add remove features to windows and possibly download the old runtimes for direct x 9, direct play, visual c etc, if all else fails game loader might do it.

I always used a different version of Dolphin for each game and it seemed to work pretty well up till now, although I could never get Virtua Striker 4 or Virtua Striker 4 2006 to boot with any of them, I am a bit confused what the version of Dolphin to use is or if it is quadforce which I thought had to be run on a usb drive with a modded or soft modded wii, I have version 5.0 of dolphin but this does not seem to be the same as on screenshots posted, I have ver 5.0 18171 but it does not say dirty at the top of the window, Can someone please tell me what version of dolphin that I should be using? TIA

    The plugin is on github by a guy named dariowouters under fmod but I don't see any mention of there being a wrapper for it.
