I converted a chd file from offroad thunder to iso and extracted the file. Then copied the fix on discord in the folder. After the start I receive the message unsupported CRC. Which version of offroad thunder is the correct one?

can't insert any coins. i don't know what's going on lol.

I put the glidex2.dll in the sysWow64 folder and installed nglide  and that's where it hard cashes. It says amd is compatible. it's done that with 2 of my amd pcs.

The problem I am having is the game starts, I see the screen above for a split second and then the game stops and returns to Teknoparrot. Not sure what I am doing wrong, I used the Thunderpatcher program from TP Discord and I used the CHD rom from Mame 0.280, not sure if that was the problem.

Maybe I know when I converted the artic thunder, I had to use a older chdman

I had to use chdman from 0.280 to extract the CHD. 

 

Is anybody using the CHD from another version of Mame(not 0.280) that has the game working?

This is currently an issue for quite a few people in the discord.  So I doubt it's your chd.  Do you have an AMD cpu?  It seems alot of the people that have the issue have one.

Oddly enough, I do! Ryzen 7 - 3700x. I saw some mention of it on the TP Discord, so I guess I will just continue checking Discord for any updates!

when i try this with default settings, i basically placed the glide2x.dll into the syswow64 folder. when i load teknoparrot ui it just hard crashes at the startup boot screen. when i place the file within the game folder with information included it has the same response but didn't before so there is progress. but it seems like the inputs become nonresponsive after it passes the boot. also what i noticed is on my desktop pc it had insert 1 coin but on other pcs ive tested it has 2 sometimes 3 insert coins so something isnt being read properly it could be the alternative loading on the tekno side.

it didnt work. ill leave it there maybe in the future things will come about. im on moving from this. thank you for your help

Hello Hippopippo On TP when I check the Bezel box for Offroad Thunder and place a bezel.png file in the game directory, the BEZEL does not appear when I start the game. How did you manage to display the BEZEL?

when I use nglide with the glideX2.dll i put a copy in syswow64 and in game folder i used this configuration on my amd the inputs didnt work and

it only booted twice and then goes to a black screen and then eventually crashes so maybe the devs can look at the  the nglide and how it communicates with the game folder and syswow64 and inputs i tried using the bezel toggle and it seemed to look for a bezel but then it eventually crashes. i used the x86.exe also

so ending results i was able to get into the game with the steps above but what i had to do with the x86 was change the compatibility to 98 and it seems like the windows layer conflicts with how the game loads. once im able to select the the choices and it gets to the start race screen it just plays the music but never gets into the race. i was able to also get into the test mode and reset the game from the defaults. and also set it to freeplay so i can just get into the game after the attraction mode. im currently using a handheld pc to do all this so i dont know if its the power but maybe someone can give that information to the teknoparrot devs for the amd information. the boot was very slow but it seemed to pick up speed

I created this bezel from the original cabinet one and tested it on the Gamecube Dolphin port (Midway Arcade Treasures 3) because the glide2x wrapper in the TP apparently prevents it from being displayed.

NOTE : using glide2x.dll from Nglide (with aspect correction) you can use any bezel (made for same resolution)

Il est tout à fait possible que Glide empêche l’affichage mais dans votre capture d’écran cela ne provient pas de la version Gamecube. C’est bien la version ARCADE TP qui s’affiche

so it sees the bezel nut when booting the game teknoparrot hides it in the background. if i alt tab i can see the bezel. also the game stalls at the loading race screen and doesnt progress further im not sure of what could be causing the game to freeze and not enter the race

im gonna leave this alone for now. the bezel doesn't present itself no matter what I've it done only shows as hidden in the background.

ive went as far using ddu to do a clean install to see if something was crashing. i ensured things were upgraded on the graphics side. im pretty much getting the same results. ive been on this for a bit too long.. noone really is responding to me even though im putting in effort so im leaving it alone

I've tried multiple dumps and all play fine except no engine sound from vehicles.  Music plays, crash effects play...but no engine sound.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Intel I7 9700K  GTX1660

game is still a WIP.  sound is one of the current known issues.
