Logically yes it uses the GPU since we have the choice between opengl and vulkan and that indicates which graphics card we have,
after that it's on paper =) in practice it's something else :p

Oh yeah. I forgot that they showed your GPU for Vulkan input in the options. Wonder whats causing the bottleneck?

Maybe the code needs to be changed, but I don’t think the TP devs should do that without talking with the head developer for Play

Yes, after that I always thought that with PCSX2 it would run like a charm
but I would have to find out how to launch the Namco system, I had already tried a few years ago
but I only had the bios displayed

PCSX2 doesn’t support the 2x6 because they weren’t comfortable dealing with the security issues. Only Play supports it.

Yes it's a shame they didn't find a way around it, it would work better on PCSX2, it's better optimized than Play!

I think the image quality of Play is better than PCSX2, maybe it is just like the difference between JPCSP and PPSSP, so the running speed of Play will be much slower.

Posté(e)
It's more because PCSX2 manages CPU and RAM better. The image quality is the same and can even be filtered with PCSX2.
Too bad no one has found how to add the Namco system,
many of the arcade games of the Namco system are already PS2 games by default of wanting to "insert coin"

My PC

Nvidia 3050ti

AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon graphic 3,20 ghz

32 gb ram

Play! version 0.70-35

Games with both Vulkan and OpenGL settings at 4x 1080p suffer from lag

A 3.2 GHZ CPU is too slow for Play. You need at least 5.3 GHZ possibly a 5.0

Cobra The Arcade doesn't emulate the card reader system yet? When the game ends, does it not proceed after it says "Detecting cards"?

I joined before, but it says I can't accept the invitation. Maybe I was blacklisted by one of the administrators.

Invites are against the rules. That's why. To get the Play fork for Teknoparrot you need to update your TeknoparrotUI

Okay folks, this release (BoostGPU) includes several graphics patches and performance tweaks.

OpenGL mode has been improved in its Progressive & Interlaced handling, and Vulkan in color management.

Try it out by disabling Enable GS Ram & Force Bilinear Filtering in the Video panel.

With my specs (11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz   2.59 GHz, GTX1650 Super) I tested Tekken 5 and managed to play at a steady 57-60 fps around with minimal CPU usage.

This is the standalone version, let me know how it runs and we'll see what else can be improved.

Hi Hippopippo, Great job, it's nice that someone is tackling this big detail that is missing on this emulator ;)
I just tested your GPUBoost version and it changes the game, but it's still too tight for my config,
I have an i7 with an nvidia 1050 graphics card and 16 GB of ram,
Tekken 5.1 runs at 46 fps and Soulcalibur 3 at 33 fps in vulkan mode,
in openGl mode I gain in polygon smoothing but I lose 3 or 4 fps.
if you ever plan to boost your version of Play again I would be the first to be satisfied ;)

Nearly perfect with the Boost version. Tested with Tekken 5.1.

With OpenGL driver it fluctuates between 49 fps and 60 fps with graphic artifacts

With Vulkan drivers it fluctuates between 48 fps and 55 fps without graphic artifacts

stuttering audio

Vulkan tekken 5.1 48-55 fps.png

I think it would have been better to run them with PCSX2
