[Tuto] Auto boot / Auto start CD for PC Engine (PCE) / Megadrive(Genesis) / PC-FX / Mega LD / Pioneer Laseractive Sega PAC

Not real news, but discovered this yesterday so sharing in case it helps others.

 

It is possible to patch your PC Engine Bios to auto boot / auto start CD based games without having to push the "Run Button".

 

1. Download the ips patches from here https://github.com/Kreeblah/PC_Engine_CD_BIOS_Autoboot_IPS

2. Download and run the Lunar IPS patcher from here http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/

3. Pick the right IPS file for your bios, then pick the bios, and click the button patch

I made a patch to the PCFX Bios to auto boot / auto start CDs too without waiting and without having to push the "Run Button"

 

1. Run Lunar IPS patcher from link posted in first post, then pcfx.ips then pick the original bios file pcfx.rom, and click the button patch

Yesterday I patched the Sega CD / Mega CD bioses for all regions US / JP / EU to also do the same and automatically start without having to push the "Start Button".

Salut ducon2016, je me demandais si il y avait le meme genre de "passe passe" pour les bios du Sega Mega LD?

Faut que je regarde, j'ai jamais utilise le Mega LD. Si tu peux partager les liens sur bios/jeu et me dire quel emulateur il faut pour ca je peux regarder. En gros faut debugger le bios.
