You can change some of the game elements on the fly with TDJ. Can be useful for some.

[Win11 WASAPI issue – IIDX crash on launch]

After my PC auto-upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, Beatmania IIDX (SpiceTools) started crashing on launch, even though I didn’t change the game files.

I’ve tried:

  • Reinstalling the Realtek driver

  • Changing default audio format (24-bit 44100Hz, 16-bit 48000Hz, and so on)

  • Using -iidxsounddevice dsound -audiobackend waveout

Still getting IAudioClient::Initialize failed, hr=0x80070057 with nChannels = 0.

ChatGPT mentioned Windows 11 changed how WASAPI handles invalid/malformed formats, and might be stricter than Win10.

Has anyone found a fix? Or does it only work on Windows 10?

Specs: R7 9700X / 64GB DDR5 / RTX 3060 Ti / Win11 Home

Spicetools needs to fix that problem early especially windows 10 will end of support on october 2025 i was planning also upgrading to windows 11 if im gonna buy a gaming pc

Please update to the latest spice2x. You are using spicetools from 4 years ago. You need to update, and try again.

also, "-iidxsounddevice dsound -audiobackend waveout" is not valid.... You can't set iidxsounddevice to dsound, and setting audiobackend to waveout will not work, so you should clear both options and just normal wasapi in spice2x.

Is there currently a tool that can convert IIDX 32 song data to .wav or .mp3 so that the songs can be played without starting the game?

The 2025011400 DLL is for 010 cabinets (TDJ / lightning model) so if you are booting this on an old cab, then no, it won't work. You also run the risk of bricking your I/O.

I wanna warn everyone about this. It's fake. It was fabricated by someone in 1CC to look real and while some of the files are legit like the BG videos and maybe the sound files, there's no new dll to make this work, and some of the files were fabricated like I said. When a clean update drops, you'll know. Just be careful in 1CC, because people are being assholes in there and we as a community need to be vigilant against trolls like this. This is really sad and deplorable behavior at this point.

Nah, the music db is real and the song jackets/bga's are real but the song and chart data are fake/reused from older styles. Also you don't need a new dll to make new charts work. The dll you use doesn't matter. Either way ye it was bullshit data posted by some nerd with too much time on their hands lol.
