Hello everybody

I present to you my new job, Fast draw showdown.

- Audio and video taken directly from my laserdisc, originally this game is horizontal and a vertical view has been adapted.
- The mouse or gun is working.

The rules of the game are simple:
When the opponent is about to shoot you will have to load the gun and shoot him, a classic in the western

 

Guide:
mount the ISO image with daemon tools or other, launch FD.exe press F for full screen

Not a problem for me, although if its like the original its ok, better than singe.

The menu screen was this way?

Anyway I'm very interested in the original versions trough Winuae of Mad dog 2 and Crime patrol 2 as I think you can set two player mode in the test menu. 

I have Gallaghers gallery working this way, and rocks with two lightguns!

Can you share any of these please?

When i double click FD.exe to run game all i get is some weird text box with letters/symbols i cant read. When you say" mount the ISO image with daemon tools" I have no clue what does that mean? Any help with do..thanks.

You can mount the ISO image (with poweriso por example), and copy all files from ISO to a folder on HDD and run fd.exe

only works with the iso mounted in a virtual drive

It works with winuae, with original roms,but video quality is bad. If you want I can post it with winuae configuration.

this is the PC version, only released in Russia and with Russian audio.
I replaced all the clips with the video extracted from the laserdisc, but I had to keep the resolution that the PC version had

I have the roms, the video and the configuration, all taken from and old amiga thread. It works.I could restore it.

OK, probably, in a short time, my utilities for implementing mouse use in singe will be completed. After that, could you provide the full resolution video?

Do you have Marbella vice or other "difficult to find" LD?

I I think what he's saying is that, with the video dumped from the laserdisc in original quality and frame order, one can use WinUAE to emulate the actual arcade hardware (which is essentially a customised Amiga). Admittedly in this case it would be vertical video, but it would work.

 

Marbella vice, Platoon and Zorton Brothers/ Los Justicieros are all modded versions of the Amiga based ALG hardware, so in theory further development could run those too.

 

While this Fast Draw release is appreciated, the Digital Leisure code isn't 100% arcade accurate, so a full laserdisc video with UAE would be a heck of a lot closer.

Plus, it would be possible to use Daphne-singe to rebuild a full resolution version

Il gameplay di WINUAE è lo stesso della versione arcade, ma il video sarà sempre molto basso anche quando si estrae dal disco laser in formato lossless.

Platoon era un prototipo, è stato analizzando il contenuto del dump completo del LD che ho potuto recuperare i sei livelli previsti ed aggiungerne altri tre che non erano previsti ma comunque registrati completi.Ho quindi fatto del mio meglio per permettere a tutti di giocarlo, con la speranza di avere il tempo di aggiungere il supporto al mouse come light-gun (che possiedo). Tuttavia molti giocano senza mouse o light gun, quindi l'uso della tastiera è utile, inoltre per l'uso del mouse è necessario passare per le definizione di tempi ed eventi della tastiera, quindi... Nessun tempo perso 😁😜

I think it would be better to get the DVD rips over the LD rips as it would probably be a lot easier to get or source these.

Most of games above were released on DVD that i know of apart from:

I though you were Italian...I mean that if you want to convert a LD game to lightgun use, you must pass through the identification of target's zone and initial and ending frame of intervention, and this thing must be done even if you want to simply use the keyboard, like dragon's lair. When I will convert Platoon to lightgun (mouse) use, I will ask you the full resolution video of fast Draw Showdown 😅

i find the accuracy with Daphne singe off if i remove the crosshairs 

i use an aimtrak on a 27 inch lcd screen

i hope Mame can run these because the accuracy is better i find if i remove the crosshairs

@melodical, I know that most of these titles were released on DVD, but my intention is create a new topic with the original LD footage for possible use in WinUAE.

@famawizard, I have Gallagher, but the end is incomplete. I have Mad Dog, Mad Dog 2 (italian) and Platoon (the ROM doesn't work in WinUAE and I don't know why) too.

Tested now Fast draw and each time the game loads a new video it hangs out for 30 s ( in the  window title it says not responding) and finally plays.

I have only tested in one pc: win10 i5 with ati card

shame, feels very nice with  a crt gun. Any advice?

Same results as @slantery with winuae.

I can share gallaghers later this week if anybody interested
