Haha, it works for all my 300+ PC game collection, so it definitely works however you must try different combinations and options because every game behave differently. And I tested it only on Windows 7 and Windows 10, not sure for other versions of the game 1. You need to find which DLL to use. In general the way to do that is to load the game .exe in a debugger first to find out if your .exe is 32 or 64 bit. Then you look at the list of symbols to find if dinput/dinput8/xinput1_3/xinput1_4/xinput9_1_0/or in rare cases if none of the previous ones are loaded winmm (Blade Arcus if I remember correctly works like that) 2. When you found the right dll usually start with xinput ones if the game loads many, if it does not work go with dinput8 3. If the game loads many xinput dlls, make sure to enable the option to hook all the xinput dlls 4. If Dinput8, try to filter and fake xinput joysticks 5. Copy the dll in the game .exe folder If you have a specific game you want to try let me know I can help you give you one config.
-
No I cannot sorry, the internals of the DX9 version are too different.
-
Share your config file. Do you hear the beep when you launch SFV?

Just add more bloom effect.
-
Lol. Your grand mom had a VGA monitor like mine What trouby uses looks like a VGA CRT setting. For reference here is my first CRT screen And here is my second CRT screen
-
From your thread: "The best simulation is usually 2:1 regular lines to scan lines", this is reverted. They advocate more image than scanlines! :D But anyways this is a wrong solution to the brightness problem, the right way to solve it is to have bright pixels "glow" and expand over the black scanlines lightly, which is what we have in Houb's shader.
-
No. Read the text. JAMMA on real CRT.
-
Here is a capture of Wonder Boy on CRT as I posted in the other thread. It looks very close to the screenshots from Houb shader (double click the image to see it full size)
-
Dude, do I really have to google things for you? Here is a capture from the original JAMMA on a CRT. At the bottom of this article: https://mameart.wordpress.com/2016/07/20/wonderboy-sega-1986/ Again, no offense but as you can see, there is only ONE scanline per pixel, which is not at all wht you have on your videos. Check the E and R in the screenshot below, can you see there is ONE pixel bar in the middle of the letter, and only ONE scanline above and below, but not one in the middle? Now check your video you should see what is wrong. Mame CRT shaders do it well, and because Houb's shaders are based on those, they also display this correctly.
-
What? Seriously check your references. A single search on youtube or google images shows our memories are failing us:
-
yes great work houb! And sorry for being annoying about Kamui all the time lol
-
Send us pictures if you can
-
For reference here is wonder boy cabinet: Your bezel does not look at all like the original.
-
You have two scanlines per pixel in Joe and Mac returns!!! Pretty sure no arcade ever had this happen, again glad your settings makes you happy. But I seriously recommend looking at other settings, Houb's work is based on CRTGeom which is a MAME and Retroarch state of the art shader, and then we made major improvements on top of that so claiming your scanline settings from mame 171 is superior and claiming is kind of funny, basically you are saying mame shaders and retroarch shaders are bad :D I guess you did not know where those shaders came from. Anyways let's have a civilized conversation, and if you want to convince people, post CLEAR screenshots like Houb does so that we can compare. Also you seem to miss the point that Houb's work applies to everything, not just Mame. Houb's shaders can be used with most PC games, other emulators than mame. How is your solution helping with Gigawings Generation for example? Houb's does. How is your solution helping for Kamui? Houb's does. How is your solution helping for Yatagarasu? Houb's does. I can make a very long list. Again, enjoy your shader, but just be polite please.
-
Dude trouduc, what is wrong with you? Be polite please. Look if your setup makes you happy then great, but looking at your videos it does not look at all like my old CRT screens. If you want a more nostalgic look check out Houb shaders instead.
-
10 euros for that? No thanks, I will keep using the mame version. Do yourself a favor, pay 5 euros more and get https://store.steampowered.com/app/544580/BULLET_SOUL/

[PC] Arcade Flying Games Recommendations

You do not need this anymore. I added support for Esc closing the game in the loader.
-
Play the game, and a table like Terminator 2 or STTNG. You will notice that the game changes camera very often: When you launch the ball, during the game, during action. I do not want that behavior on my machine, I want a fixed camera. So the option is for people who want a truly locked in place camera.
-
Released 1.4: Added option to load custom ball textures, and close the game by pressing Escape
-
Sure I can add it in a future version.
-
try: PinballArcadeLoader.exe "C:\Pinball Arcade\PinballArcadeCabinet.exe" StarTrekTNG FixCamera=5
