Here's the unofficial 20221021 spicetools, i don't see any difference using this compared to the seemingly official 20220930. spicetools-22-10-21.zip

So you will need to use JGA instead of AGA in your ea3-config.xml file.

You need both players having the same data code, game version. If you're using different game version, data code, you won't be able to see your friend.
