  1. I'm actually working on a new movie file. Won't solve the thing but will be even better i think.
  2. Of course. In fact Singe is not an "emulator" but an engine. So it doesn't work with roms but with scripts. So, singe cannot run the rom of SA but anyone can recreate this rom with a script. I might do it someday.
  3. Yeah. Will be released with the main game.
  4. Complicated. Not for the inverted controls (easy) but those games are a different kind. Singe is certainly able to launch them with work, but my LUA scipt is made for strict FMV, not FMV with sprites. Doable of course but that's a lot of work. I'm not sure i still have the time to start from scratch.
  5. DL1 there is no urgency since there is no resolution limitation on Daphne. Hayate i think there are plans. Not me.
  6. It shouldn't be too difficult. I just made a quick test with a Singe 1 Mad Dog: Just had to correct the directory into the singe file and it worked straight (playable).
  7. That's the idea With the tutorial, anyone can create a game...
  8. Honestly, even if the Samurai sequence motivated me to do this game, there are even better things later. Level 2 (Steampunk WWII) has amazing sequences, The Dragon scene (level 3) is crazy and there is a 37 move sequence in level 4 which is my all time favorite (first time i passed it i was soooo happy).
  9. Hello Everyone, As promised here is my new release for Singe 2. It is a huge fan game based on Zack Snyder's weird but wonderful movie. In this game you will help Baby Doll and her team to set free by collecting 5 powerfull artifacts. You'll fight Giant Samurais, Dragons, Steampunk Nazis, Robots! This will be my biggest release (more than 700 moves) with a crazy difficulty (but really rewarding when you master it). The game has 5 levels. Installation: If you don't have it, first you need to grab Singe 2 (in this directory you will also find the bat to launch the game) https://mega.nz/folder/lOQX3a4a#jRF-PZ2ZMScbtXZMvnkA0Q Then you need to grab the SuckerPunch directory here, and put it in the Singe directory: https://mega.nz/folder/8DQCXZRJ#9nO9sSDyIqKQrbUtM9mx4Q That's it! Just click on the Sucker Punch.bat and play. Versions: Base video is 1920*1080 but the format is 2.35 (cinemascope) so they are black bars (which is fine) Alternative versions of the video (replace the original one with the one you need) - 4/3 (with some crops, but if your monitor is 4/3, there's no other choice) : https://mega.nz/folder/MeQmCBRK#FXggSXJUaW3ho60PzaQ7DA - 16/9 without black bars (crops 33% of right and left, but if you don't like cinemascope it's not perfect but playable): https://mega.nz/folder/ke403KLD#tV6lZP6BaNJHWlL4JYUH1g - 480p version (with overlay files): https://mega.nz/folder/If5WCKAa#nhcxUYk4y-FizKCL6udFOg Controls: 1 (or Start on pad) - Start 5 (or Select) - Credit 9 (or Right Thumb) - Options Lctrl (or A) - Action Arrows (or Pad) - Move For more informations about the Control, hit action during the attract mode. Features: The game features many things like: - Selectable level and scene (from the options menu) - Quickload and quicksave (3 slots) - Kid mode (play with just the Action for all moves) - Trophies (a very basic trophy system) - Percent mode (a new gaming mode and also a very good trainer if you want to master the game properly). Many more... Note that a new code has been created for the "Last move" Death rewind, allowing a smooth relaunch even when actions are really close to each other. For this trailer, the death rewind is set to "LAST MOVE" but the real way to play IMHO is "SCENE". Believe me, if you pass Level 1 scenes 4 to 6 flawlessly, you'll have a blast! New moves: This new game features 2 new moves: HOLD and DOUBLE ACTION. These two moves are timed actions with precise rules. HOLD: you need to HOLD the stick in the direction until the gauge is full (you need to react quite fast). Note that if you begin the HOLD action BEFORE it is asked, you will fail (it is by design). DOUBLE ACTION: You simply need to press the action button twice quickly (it's like a mini MASH). Special difficulty selection for this game: - Easy has no special moves (for example MASH will be replaced by ACTION). - Normal is normal but will skip the most difficult scenes - Hard has the same frame difficulty as normal but plays all the scenes (the best option). There are no skip in level 1, so it doesn't change anything for the trailer. - Extreme is like Hard but with less frames for each move. Very very difficult. Note: in this game, you choose difficulty at the start of the game. A few (important) notes: First, big credits for Zak Snyder for this wonderful movie (underrated, which is a shame). I encourage you to buy it and watch it entirely cause it's deeper than people generally think. It deserves more love! Sucker Punch is a huge release (735 moves!!!) and probably the most difficult FMV game ever released. It's not really my choice actually, since the onscreen action dictates the moves quite a lot (Zak, you're crazy)! That said i don't put moves that i'm not able to pass in Extreme (and i'm not the best player on earth). Everything is tested. Well, this time it was very difficult The death rewind is blocked to "Scene" in this game and it's on purpose. Some levels are really hectic and rewinding to the last (or next move) is a terrible mess. That's why i created the "Percent" mode. Use it! Some levels (2/3/4) are difficult to master with the difficuly Hard (all the scenes played). But it's really satisfying when you pass them with no mistakes. Favorite scene: Level 4/Scene 4. 37 moves of pure madness! Ok, that's it. Have fun with the game. I will be glad to answer any question. Here is a link to the global thread of my releases for Singe 2.
  10. For now, yes. The final won't have those bars.
  11. Apparently there is a problem with some sound cards (realtek). Some users reported it and found a workaround. Please check the main thread.
  12. New trailer coming tomorrow.
  13. The controls are assigned by default for Xbox360 pad and keyboard. Do you have a specific configuration?
  14. This offset does exits from the start. I guess it's the cache from the animations cell. Upscaling the video unfortunately makes that more visible.
  15. you can add -z to get ridof the dos box too. I've just downloaded my own version and it works fine. What kind of crash ? Are you sure your zip is not like Timegal\Timegal ?
  16. It looks like there is a \ missing in the program. The real name should be globals but it ads the name of th directory to it.
  17. Normally yes i think. Can you track the error (remove the -z from the bat and read what the dosbox says) ?
  18. I know Scott worked on it but struggled in a way (at least for Sinden). I don't know if he sorted it out in the end. IMHO the best way would be to ask him the question on the Singe forum. My domain is the LUA script and i can answer anything about this but for hardware, mapping the expert is Scott. Edit: I asked the question. We'll see
  19. Thank you ! Yeah, it is a template to create games with the tutorial.
  20. 4/3 will be released withthe final version.
  21. Hello Everyone, As promised here is my new release for Singe 2. It is a huge fan game based on Hayao Miyazaki's masterpiece: Princess Mononoke. In this game you will help Ashitaka, last prince of the Emishi and San, Daughter of the wolves, to save the world. It is a massive release (around 530 moves) with a steep difficulty (lot of timed actions). The game has 9 levels. For me the "real" way to play it is with death rewind set to Scene. That way you'll learn full sequences which are really rewarding when you master them (after all we don't have to put quarters in the machine). Some levels like IronTown (level 3) or the attack (level5) are trully magnificent to master... Installation: If you don't have it, first you need to grab Singe 2 (in this directory you will also find the bat to launch the game) https://mega.nz/folder/lOQX3a4a#jRF-PZ2ZMScbtXZMvnkA0Q Then you need to grab the Mononoke directory here, and put it in the Singe directory: https://mega.nz/folder/ECIjDAZR#BmPbyfm_EgC4Zapk-zqaHg That's it. Just click on the Mononoke.bat and play. https://mega.nz/folder/If5WCKAa#nhcxUYk4y-FizKCL6udFOg Other versions: Though the original version is 16/9, here is a 4/3 movie if your monitor is not 16/9 (just replace the original movie with this one). https://mega.nz/folder/MeQmCBRK#FXggSXJUaW3ho60PzaQ7DA And for 480p here are some files to replace. https://mega.nz/folder/If5WCKAa#nhcxUYk4y-FizKCL6udFOg Controls: 1 (or Start on pad) - Start 5 (or Select) - Credit 9 (or Right Thumb) - Options Lctrl (or A) - Action Arrows (or Pad) - Move For more informations about the Control, hit action during the attract mode. Features: The game features many things like: - Selectable level and scene (from the options menu) - Quickload and quicksave (3 slots) - Kid mode (play with just the Action for all moves) - Trophies (a very basic trophy system) - Death rewind (choose where to restart after death) Many more... Note that a new code has been created for the "Last move" Death rewind, allowing a smooth relaunch even when actions are really close to each other. New moves: This new game features 2 new moves to mimic Ashitaka's Bow: HOLD and SHOOT. These two moves are timed actions with precise rules. HOLD: you need to HOLD the stick in the direction until the gauge is full (you need to react quite fast). Note that if you begin the HOLD action BEFORE it is asked, you will fail (it is by design). SHOOT: SHOOT is always after the HOLD (but some HOLD are not followed by SHOOT, when Ashitaka does not throw an arrow). You need to release the stick at the precise time you see SHOOT onscreen. Note that if you release before SHOOT or don't release, you will fail (once again by design). Also note that when you fail SHOOT and are in "Last move" death rewind, you go back to the HOLD action (believe me it's better this way). UPDATE So, big update with 3 new features: 1) New gaming mode: Percent: You can access this new mode from the option menu (Gametype). With this mode you play through a whole level (chosen in option menu), but you won't die if you fail a move. The level will continue to the end. At the end, the program will calculate you percentage of success and possibly you will have a Highscore (those Hiscore per level are of course separated from the general Hiscore). This new gaming mode is both a fun way to play (especially for non specialist) and a very good trainer for the most difficult levels. I hope you'll enjoy it. 2) Dynamic Overlay Resolution: From the option menu, you can now change the resolution of the overlay Hi/Lo res. The overlay in Hi res might be difficult for some CPU (for example core i5), so i developped this solution to lower the charge a bit.apparently it gives good results, so don't hesitate to switch if you experience slowdown. 3) New graphics I upgraded the graphics a bit for the actions. So, instead of "Action", you've got a button, instead of "Mash" an animated button, and so on. This change is not only cosmetic. By testing it i, noticed it helped a lot to react faster (at least for non english natives) and also avoid confusions (for example between MASH and HOLD, since they both have a gauge. I updated the three versions of the movie (Normal, 4/3, 480p) to reflect this change. Of course, most of the other games share the same code so i plan to update all of them with those changes at some point. Ok, that's it. Have fun with the game. I will be glad to answer any question. Here is a link to the global thread of my releases for Singe 2. Stay tuned for another novelty next week!
  22. Apparently Argon needs games with two players to do it. I mean games where you can actually launch the second player. And i think it's not done yet.
  23. Actually i use this option for all my games because it gives a better resolution to the overlay and also it helps a lot to place things exactly where you want.
