You're wrong. These videos were recorded at 30fps interpolated for viewing on a 60Hz CRT television. This doubles the 30fps since the two fields of the image have to be alternated. Converting an interlaced video to 60fps is the best option to preserve motion and resolution

Interlacing doesn't make sense today with progressive LCD and LED monitors.
