no, you can play 2P mode in local for sure, by defaut player 1 insert coins and 2 are activated by pressing left stick, and then start with start button. From my memory you can even play in pair play mode.

no problem here, Try to Tick"Lock mouse in Fullscreen" > Config >Emulator and start the game in fullscreen. Then go to test menu to setup the aim and reboot the game.
