Hi,

The following will hopefully work. Apart from the Konaste songs because the nostalgia.dll does not know about these.

 

- Download MonkeyBusiness local ea-server (https://github.com/drmext/MonkeyBusiness) 

- configure spice
    EA Service URL = http://localhost:8083/core (do not forget the /core)
    create a card in spicecfg (under the tab Cards)

- start MonkeyBusiness with start.bat
- start spice64 (just to double check if all works and you can create a profile by pressing the big  + or ENTER key ---forgot which exactly)
- this will not show jackets yet.

- when all works stop game

 

For the jackets to show up put the music_list.xml from the zip in your MonkeyBusiness\modules\nostalgia folder
This specific music_list.xml is a copy of the one in contents\data_op3\sound but without some tags.
The reason is that MonkeyBusiness does not use/needs them and will more or less fail reading these tags, resulting in no jackets being shown.

Do not copy a music_list.xml from data, data_op2 or data_op3 into the MonkeyBusiness nostalgia folder.

But i was told that you will need to start from scratch if you want to use the new pluginH but I believe some analysis on the old and new save data will help with the score import to new data.

 

you just need to play a few new songs in pinky crush and then compare the score data to see what's the difference.

 

then you can rewrite a script to fetch the old scores to the new score format to bring them to pinky crush.

KONAMI I/O board is connected directly to the PC, but the controls and 16 Segment Display are all connected via the CN ports I believe, which are serial to the board.

A friend has his in bits but sent me a photo of his CB PC with the I/O board disconnected, you can see the parts where CN8-CN19 are labelled, one of these is where it would connect to, data from the game is sent via USB to the I/O board which then talks to the 16 Segment Display and listens for inputs from the player, controls lights etc.

You can find more photos of the PC and other boards there, it's probably best to ask in the IIDX cab owners thread on sows about which port controls the 16 Seg, the I/O board itself isn't hard to get hold of, my friend has several and you may find a local seller there, DM me if you're looking for more info though as I think it's a bit beyond the scope of this thread possibly, haha.
