Area 51: Site 4 is the explosive 1998 sequel to the original Area 51, developed by Mesa Logic and Atari Games. This full motion video (FMV) rail shooter blends digitized enemies and live-action backgrounds for that unmistakable 90s arcade vibe. In this video, I take you through the entire game, including both endings and every secret room, running it on MAME with custom tweaks to improve performance. While some minor imperfections remain, the game is now fully playable with proper CPU timing and a modified MAME build. Played with my RS3 Reaper Lightguns from RetroShooter, this is as close as you’ll get to the real arcade experience from home.
