About this version:

Based on Karis Dragon’s Lair II: Time Warp for Singe, this is the Blu-ray version of Dragon’s Lair II, upscaled and enhanced using HitPaw video enhancer.

Some scenes have been restored / modified by hand, frame by frame using Wondershare Filmora 13 to extract frames, Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 to edit frames

manually, is a free program I have been using for over 20 years, that’s how I crop, layer, copy and paste pieces together.

 

New to this version: Spawning and Game Over Scenes.

 

 

 

Treasures:

During the course of the game, Dirk must find and collect "treasures" in order to reach Mordroc. In this version, like the Director's Cut version of the game,

gathering all the treasures offers an alternate, shorter and easier second-to-last stage.

 

Settings:

Press 9 for game settings (they only can be changed before game begins)

-          Easy Mode: No Mirrors levels

-          Normal Mode: Random Mirror levels.

-          Hard Mode: Only Mirror levels will play.

 

Gameplay:

Game has 8 Levels (9 with Director’s Cut extra ending) – each level is divided into scenes, if Dirk dies, he will start at the beginning of the scene.

Once a Treasure is collected, Dirk won’t have to collect it again in the event of death.

Alternative moves have been added to the game, this ones will not show ( Directional Arrows).

 

 

Note: this is a beta release.

Impressive hard work done by hand, really shows passion and love for games. Respect. And this was not written by A.I. 😄

Before the end of the week will update the game again, I made new set of Treasure icons.

Download Link updated to beta 2 release.

 

Changes:

  • Thanks to DirtBagXon®, He updated the Structure Framework, now Treasure Icons position can be selected trough the game menu (Key 9).
  • New Treasure Icons added, first generation Icons can be found on the Asset Folder.

Great work!   I almost gave up on the Max0011 Reconstructed versions because I have a potato PC connected to a large flat panel TV and it was very laggy.   However I found a fix!  Change overlay resolution to the lower of the two options and you can now run DL1 and DL2 reconstructed versions on a 10 year old potato PC!  The video is full quality but just changes the text and icon quality.   Only a slight bug Max0011, the treasure icons are too big in DL2 with low overlay resolution, so I had to turn them off in the new options menu.  No big deal.

There is low overlay for many icons, but treasure icons are too small to recreate,  I will need a set of 20×20 pixels, if any artist out there wants to volunteer....

 

I build a HTPC, using an RTX3060, intel 11 CPU, on a 65 inch TV, game looks amazing.
