It doesn't work for me, when I run the emulator bios, it stays black for a while and then closes, I already checked everything possible that could cause problems

the log shows this (the image I have of supernova was the one uploaded by google drive)

it looks like you are stuck in a boot loop, make sure you have the magicgate keys and the correct bios all in your bios folder, i will link them below from my old post. and make sure you set up the python2.ini correctly

magicgate keys on archive.org

https://archive.org/details/Magicgate

ps2 bios make sure to find ps2-0190j-20030822.bin

https://archive.org/details/redump-sony-playstation-2-bios-images

here is my python2.ini for example

[GameEntry DanceDanceRevolution_SuperNOVA]
Name=DanceDanceRevolution_SuperNOVA
HddImagePath=D:\\Python2\\ddr.raw
InputType=2
DipSwitch=0000
Force31kHz=1
DongleBlackPath=D:\\Python2\\ddr_dongle_black.bin
DongleWhitePath=D:\\Python2\\ddr_dongle_white.bin
HddIdPath=D:\\Python2\\HDD_ID.BIN
IlinkIdPath=D:\\Python2\\ILINK_ID.BIN

if you decide to use this example, make sure to change the file paths to where your game is stored, and make sure to use 2 forward slashes

Sweet. Looking forward to downloading this.

Curious question. I cant download it right now but does this work and how do i get taht to work?

https://github.com/987123879113/pcsx2_cheats

i did make it to work... but i dont understand this:

// Audio offset
patchExtended=1,EE,489674,short,0000,0008 // Adjust the 2nd to last value to change audio offset (signed value, range from -32768 (0x8000) to 32767 (0x7fff))
patchExtended=1,EE,489676,short,2442,03e0
patchExtended=1,EE,489678,word,03e00008,27bd0020
patchExtended=1,EE,48967c,word,27bd0020,00000000

i play with the numbers but i dont see any notable change...

"DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION!!"

by the way this link expires in 15 days

I also used the unlock codes from zenius-i-vanisher so the game should be fully unlocked

HAVE FUN!! 😁

I noticed that not all characters are unlocked and there are some missing songs such as "Dead End Groove Radar Special".

you need to enable Force31kHz=1 on your python2.ini file

also did anyone manage to get cheats working?

i manage to get it working... you have to rename all to the same name like this (incluing the folder):

i did that and edited the ini file too only to get the boot loop problem. but renaming it back to what i had made it work again. i dont think i can rename the files as it's possible that that encryption things happens. i dont really know.

do the files rename... and do this:

image.png.5ad5fff1c9025bf14d360432de467e82.png

this fixes the bootloop

nevermind i got it, turns out it was working the WHOLE TIME and that the codes in the pnach were just disable because of the two forward slashes lol

I didn't really mess with that sorry. but i'm gonna be honest, if you want to fix the audio syncing, it's best to change the audio settings within pcsx2 itself. Here are my settings:

its hit or miss, but the syncing is alot better for me

my sync is a mess... the arrows comes first...i have that same config...

one fix i found for the boot looping issue is in the pcsx2_vm.ini file look for HddIdFile= and point it to the hdd_id file

omg thanks so much. I tried to set it up on my laptop only to get the boot loop issue and this actually helped. so this will help  with anyone who is having this issue. although one thing to point out would be to uncheck read only on the pcsx2 folder as mine would not change until i did so.

I have the same problem. Even with the lowest latency the arrows are a bit early.

Maybe we can use the cheat manager for the sync fix

How did you get the cheats to work? I followed this but the cheats wont work. Im trying to use the autoplay cheat

https://github.com/987123879113/pcsx2_cheats/blob/main/ddr_supernova2_jaa.pnach

Also does anybody tried using the pcsx2 internal recording? Its glitchy for some reason. The video is only a split second long but the length is days (i.e a six second video is indicated as 49 hours). The wav file records fine though

you just need to only add the patch file command to your python 2 ini and point it to where your pnach file is stored. and also make sure to remove the two forward slashes in front of "patchextended" in the code file if you want to activate a specific code.

example

PatchFile=D:\\Python2\\ddr.pnach

change "//patchExtended=1" to "patchExtended=1"
