ArcCabView + PinCabView : Display your arcade games just as you want!

I'm trying to set up Groove Coaster 2 (via TeknoParrot), and I'm having an oddity. If I launch the game from TeknoParrot's UI or from the command line (teknoparrotui --startMinimized --profile=GrooveCoaster2.xml), the game starts and it appears on the taskbar. If I use ArcCabView_Launcher to try and add it, the game launches, but does NOT appear on the taskbar, the active app never changes, and it can't find the game window. Input seems to be locked out while it's searching as well, so I can't click on the game to try and make it see the right window.

 

Any ideas? I was going to try using Game Loader RH, but I couldn't get it working with this game. So far the only other game I've set up with it is GigaWing Generations also through TeknoParrot, and that worked fine.

 

Is it possible to manually install this version of Reshade and the filters? I'm just trying to get it full screen - it's a vertical window and Borderless Gaming makes it stretch.

 

[Edit] I got it working well enough by copying the various dlls and inis, editing the shader config in game, and using Borderless Gaming to go from windowed to full screen.

Hi, can you please share how you did this.. maybe a step by step. Would like to get this game properly displayed as well.

Which also help might help me understand how to get bezels working with Teknoparrot Spider-man.

I was also trying to get it going with pcsx2 yesterday 😄

What is the correct native resolution to set? If i set it to 640x480 the scanlines don't match up and look too tiny. If i leave it at default the scanlines are too big.

Hi. I'm wanting run Sonic Dash with a Bezel. I've downloaded the program but I've no idea how to use it. Can anyone explain in simple terms how to do this?  I see that there's even a Sonic Dash config in one of the folders but how do you add that config? This program sounds great but it's not really explained how to use it.

Are you using an Nvidia card with a custom resolution? (this what I'm using)

I'm in the setup of MAME Shader at this moment, it would be cool to share your setup!

When choosing some arcabview presets on MAME and MAMEUI variants, I get this error and the emulator crashes

 

What could be missing?

ArcCabView can be false checked as a virus like ReShade can be to.

I'm using it for years, it's safe.

De rien. J'espère qu'on va vite avoir un mod pour cacher les 2 guests qui n'ont rien à faire dans ce jeu 😄

Whenever I press Home also the window is completely empty

It happens too on my PC. One month ago, my dumps worked well with Arcabview, but now, I have the same issue, the shaders don't display on the menu. I updated my Graphics driver and updated my OS to the last version and I installed the necessary complements for the games. I use Jconfig and teknoparrot. Anyone had solve this issue or it's not normal that we have this issue?

Right, today I tried again, but I installed the last nvidia driver update and download again the arcabview. Then, I changed the location folder for arccabview and set my games again and it worked. Every dumps and pc games worked again, so I believe that was an OS and driver update issues.

Yes, you can use Bezels and shaders with teknoparrot. You should read to first page of this topic, because the settings can be a little bit different, but it's not complicated

Hi everyone and thank you so much for bringing us ArcCabView!

I found it extremely useful for my Arcade setup custom needs, in particular to bring all recent games running on TeknoParrot into my Sega New Net City Arcade Cabinet equipped with a TriSync CRT Arcade Monitor.

I mastered the usage of ArcaCabView Shader during last few months and I'm able to run almost every TeknoParrot game with the right proportions on my 4:3 CRT Arcade Monitor @ 640 x 480 resolution. At least until now, when I decided to equip my Arcade Cabinet with a couple of Gun4ir Lightguns...

 

In order to fit the screen and preserve the right proportions for all TeknoParrot games that are not able to downscale to 640 x 480, I usually follow these simple 4 steps:

 

1. Set the game resolution to its original one (720p, 768p, 1080p) or leave blank the Custom Resolution setting in TeknoParrot. As a result the game will start in a WINDOW bigger than the Arcade screen and displayed in overscan (the outermost edges of the picture are hidden);

2. Set the game to run into a WINDOW and not full screen into TeknoParrot game settings;

3. Set Borderless Gaming App to position the game WINDOW at the top left (X:0, Y:0) of the Arcade CRT screen and of course to remove WINDOW borders and Windows Taskbar;

4. Install and Configure ArcCabView, by modifying the Stretch and Offset options, in order to reduce the game image (not the entire WINDOW, just the game image) to fit a 4:3 screen @ 480p and to drag the game image at the top left of the Arcade CRT screen.

 

This pattern worked flawlessly for almost all TeknoParrot games, including Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible and Sega World Drivers Championship...

So, to improve the Arcade experience, I recently equipped my Arcade Cabinet with a couple of Lightguns (OpenFire Gun4ir), when I discovered the BIG problem.

When I start a gun game configured like above, the Aim Cursor of my Guns is LOCKED and imprisoned into an invisible square positioned in the top left corner of the screen and smaller than the gaming area of my Arcade screen!! Basically, I'm not able to trigger fire on any gaming element outside that small invisible square!!

 

It seems like when the game starts into a WINDOW (1280x720, 1360x768, 1920x1080) that is bigger than the available resolution of my Arcade CRT (640 x 480), the invisible Aiming Grid is still set as a 640 x 480 square. So, by reducing and moving the game image to fit the Arcade CRT screen, that invisible Aiming Grid is reduced and moved as well! Since the invisible Aiming Grid starts as a 640 x 480 square, when I reduce and move a bigger game image, the Aiming Grid is reduced and positioned on the top left corner of the Arcade screen. The higher the original game resolution and corresponding WINDOW, the smaller the resulted invisible Aiming Grid area (simply because for higher resolution games I need to tweak a lot into the Stretch option to fit the Arcade screen).

 

Have you any idea on how to solve this problem and to restore the invisible Aiming Grid to its original 640 x 480 size despite any Stretching/Offsetting into ArcCabView? Or to avoid the invisible Aiming Grid reduction while Reducing the game image?

 

Please, I'm really desperate, because I'm not able to use my Lightguns with my Arcade Cabinet.
