megavolt85 is the developer who does the conversions ... he is only focused on converting gdi from new games. there is another team that takes roms converted to gdi is converting to cdi.
It's in the beginning ... it will take a while to have all the games in different formats.

You can rest assured about that, because it works very well in Demul. So these conversions for Dreamcast work like this, you don't need to insert coins, just press start and play, so that way it is much better to play with the Redream emulator, which is currently the best Dreamcast emulator. Soon I will post images of the games running on this emulator.

Converting to CHD, these games run perfectly on the Redream emulator.

 

I'm sorry for all the images, it's because I still don't know how to keep them hidden, but I wanted to show everyone, the games running.

You should try to run it with Flycast. You can use this core with Retroarch and it runs very well!

I tried setting up Flycast standalone and it was a nightmare to set up, and its becoming a bit of a headache having different DC emulators for different games! ReDream is so easy to use and set up...

Ill try using the FlyCast core on Retroarch tho, hopefully its not so hard to set up as standalone version....btw do save states work properly in Flycast?

ReDream is a good emulator but if you can use Flycast, is better! You can run Naomi, Atomiswave and Dreamcast games even the games using Microsoft CE like Sega Rally 2. Moreover you can use save state easely. The saves states can be used with all emulator cores.

Retroarch is a great tool if you master it. It's not simple at the beginning but in the end it's not very complicated.

Got the Flycast core for Retroarch working and playing Dolphin Blue, Im crossing my fingers that it doesn't crash like in Demul, btw does it support mouse for light gun games? ReDream already supports that, but the problem is that you cant map any button for reload making all those games unplayable :(

To be honest I already tried to run the light gun games with mouse but it is complicated. I succeeded with Time Crisis on PS1 but the viewfinder was not displayed and impossible to find the way to display it...

With Retroarch no need to use a plugin. All is integrated to play with your mouse as light gun.

I use Beetle PSX core. The best because all games are emulated.

@Safur btw I tried using the Flycast core like you said for Dolphin Blue... and it has random crashes, including one at the final stage which makes it unplayable, its common bug:

For those who want to play Dolphin Blue with the Demul emulator, here is a modified version to play this game to the end and without errors.
It is configured for the C: directory, full screen and 1920x1080 resolution and x-box 360 or x-box one control.

Sorry for the dumb question but which version is for the redream emulator on the first page, CDI OR GDI, and how do I use it?

Redream  supports "everything" :   GDI, BIN CUE, CHD and CDI

Unstable versions are more advanced .. but unstable, sometimes...

You don't need a bios , it's already included. Install the program, download some Dreamcast images and play. 
Oh and of course, use a joypad with it. I use an Xbox one controller but an Xbox 360 controller (or compatible...) is ok too !!

check the link and read .. it's really easy (and English is not my mother tongue...  )
