This thread is for StarBlazers non-sega version.

 

Sega star blazer is known as galaxy ranger:

 

hypseus.exe galaxy vldp -framefile vldp\galaxy\galaxy.txt -fullscreen -keymapfile flightkey.ini -volume_nonvldp 5 -volume_vldp 20

ah! so, StarBlazer (sega) and Galaxy Ranger are the same game!? For this reason in Daphne as you can see in my previous print, the 2 games share the same settings page! 

So, Daphne probably doesn't support Star Blazer "non sega version", right?

Every given example of making the game work has used Hypseus as the answer.

 

If you don't want to use Hypseus, and want to continue using Daphne, then fine. But stop asking the same question over and over, you have seen for yourself it doesn't work in Daphne.

 

Go do some research if you don't know Hypseus.

sorry, ok, i just followed a really good tutorial for Hypseus, i'm able to play some games now on that emulator using the .bat files.

But i'm not able to run Starbalzer as i don't know how to configure it. I download the files:

- singe\starblazers--> i put the starblazer folder into the singe folder, in Hypseus root folder

- starblazers --> i put it into the vldp folder, in Hypseus root folder

- bat file -> i put it into my Hyseus batch folder, named "batch". This is the bat file i found into the pack with all the .bat files i found into the Hypseus repository:

..\hypseus.exe singe vldp -framefile singe\starblazers\starblazers.txt -script singe\starblazers\starblazers.singe -fullscreen -volume_nonvldp 5 -volume_vldp 20

 

But if i tun the bat file, it appeaers the following errors, attached. Unfortunately the starblazers.singe file isn't present into the package i downloaded.

Make sure the paths in the bat are correct. Also make sure that the extracted files are correct. Depending on the script file you have to have specific folders. Edit the script file to see where everything is pointing to.

The files from the MEGA link on the first page of this thread don't contain a starblazers.singe, they seem to have a couple of setupgame.singe and fai.txt framefiles.
That's fine, but all the provided example bat files won't work, you need to alter your arguments with the correct files and paths.

 

You can fight on with this version, or perhaps it might be easier to use the sanitized one from Internet Archive, which should work with the bat examples:
