Does NOT work on Window$ 10 1809 revision (October 2018) and later !!!

Works fine on TeknoParrot 1.0.0.125 in Window$ 10 (1803 April 2018 revision)

So if you want to play this game you got to fall back to Window$ 10 (1803 April 2018 revision)

Read this tutorial, to make a dual boot system, one for gaming this game and others which have problems, one for other things on a up to date Window $ 10.

Above solution, breaks Operation Ghost.

 

Remember, some games do not like to work standalone, when it is VS play, network configurated.

 

Network config should be easy, when you can ping your other computer you are almost done.

I recommend to use static IP adresses on your network cards.

First make note / pictures of the original settings in the service menu before you change them !

You are going to configurate the settings for Versus play on two PC's.

The game will probably not work standalone with these network VS settings.

 

Go to the game folder, go to /Shelldata.

Game.ini contains the parameters you can use in the Gamesettings.ini file.

Shelldata.ini is the interesting one.

Change the fourth line to Twin.

CabinetType=Twin (On both PC's)

 

Down below in te Gamesettings.ini file use these settings.

[Network]
CabinetID=1 
Enabled=1

 

CabinetID=1 is for the left cabin.

CabinetID=2  is for the right cabin. 

 

Start these games on both PC's.

 

Sega Rally 3 Attract mode on two screens looks, awesome !

 

Secret cars unlock.

Bowler Nemesis

McRae Enduro

 

Quick Race mode features a race over multiple laps of a single track against a grid of 5 opponent cars.

The secret Rally Raid cars are accessible in this mode.

These can be chosen by perform- ing the following action:

If the player holds down the brake pedal on the car select screen for one second,

the WRC cars are replaced by the bonus ones and the time available to select a car resets.

If the brake is released, the WRC car selections return but the timer continues unchanged.

Subsequent triggering of the bonus cars does not reset the timer.

question, i read the manual a little, is it possible to play up to 6 cabs or "players" even on TP? For example the config.ini file says "twin" and i know u can change it to deluxe, does that then give you the option to change the cabs ranging from 1-6

Quelqu'un peut nous expliquer ça en Français svp ? Je suis pas nul en anglais (quelques notions), mais là je bloque un peu ^_^

 

On peut pas lancer le jeu sans modifier l'IP statique ? J'ai pas trop envie de toucher à ce type de réglages personnellement. Une aide (en Français) serait la bienvenue.

But my problem is not the setting folder. The game won't start since the last Windows 10 update (they say you have to change static IP Adress and modify FFDshow video filter).

 

i've tried your solution linglang

But the problem is the same (texture memory error).

I can see many people having this problem, for me it's not solved :gene:

Je cherche à avoir une explication précise pour faire marcher "Sega Rally 3" avec Windows10.

Je suis allé voir le fix, mais c'est pas très clair (dans la langue de Shakespeare).

Ok donc visiblement une mise à jour récente de Windows 10 a planté le jeu. Avant il marchait mais maintenant il marche plus, aussi simple que ça :o

Du coup j'ai essayé de configurer le filtre video FFDshow, de modifier les settings, mais rien de rien… Il semble que la nouvelle mise à jour plante la mémoire.

Faites part de vos expériences, si quelqu'un a réussi à le faire marcher on est preneur (après la version 1809 bien sûr).

Just tested it on a up to date windows 10 1909 OS build 18363.535 with teknoparrot 1.0.0.264 SR3 works fine

I'm not so bad, but sometimes it's a little difficult to understand technical clarifications :timide: (sorry i dont like chrome, my browser is opera)

I have 1909 version too and he doesn't work.

It's impossible for me to revert latest version (after 10 days) :

Yet I have the same version of teknoparrot as you, with more than twenty games installed… But Sega Rally 3 won't work :triste:

Hi everyone. Is there any way to get into the bios/test menu? Teknoparrot doesn't have a switch for it in game settings. Also are there any guides as to the graphics settings? I'm currently using these but wondered what the parameters are for either going higher or lower. I'd like to max them out if possible. Thanks.

Hi,

 

Seems this fix breaks a few games with RH loader, for example KOF XIII and KOF XIII Climax. Any way to have an ahk load and unload these settings just when Sega Rally 3 runs?

Yes it breaks lots of games has anyone the notes on how to reverse this fix ive looked all over the site but cant find those notes anywhere link would be appreciated

i cant get it to work

 

i can only see se SR3 Loading screen and it loops

 

After that it crashes and i get this message:

 

out of memory for tex

 

What is the solution ?

 

 

my hw is core2duo and gtx 1050ti

I did 1 -7 but, only selected LAV Video for "WMV1"

Not WMV2, WMV3

 

Well i was wrong

I only selected 32 bit WMV3 (lav video) :timide:

Is there a way I can assign it to my analog type sidebrake?
It works when assigned to a button on the keyboard, but not when assigned to an analog type sidebrake. Can you tell me how to do it? Or is there no choice but to give up?

I'm in the same boat.  Win10 1909.  At first the game crashed with some D3D error.  Once I did the supplied fix the game started.  I get to the SR3 main logo screen, it says Insert Credit(s) and nothing responds.  Wont work for Keyboard or xInput.  Run TP as admin or not, same thing.

Sega Rally 3 loads and plays perfectly now, FFB is also working.
Haven't checked if it has a negative effect on other games, though.

salut les amis ...pourquoi Rally bug? je peux aller jusqu'a la selection de la voiture et quand la course demarre plus rien? pourtant j'ai testé la procedure.

Par ailleurs en voulant copier le FIXE pour le 16/10 rally.exe je me retrouve avec un une version qui me demande de crediter sauf qu'aucune touche ne le permet...pourquoi? merci pour votre aide

Looking for some help please. When playing Sega Rally 3 on the latest version of Teknoparrot using an Xbox One controller,  the car pulls left slightly. I’ve tried both sTo0z Zone and moving sliders but that still doesn't fix it. 
 

It’s actually a very similar thing to what Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing does as cars also pulled to the left in that game prior to applying the calibration patch; however, I don’t see a similar patch for Sega Rally 3.  Since both are Sega games, I figured maybe they suffered from the same calibration issue.  Anyway, I appreciate anyone that can help or provide the calibration patch if one exists.

You need to go into the ShellData directory.  Edit ShelData.ini.  Here is mine for reference:

Hi,

Weird problem. 

I have a twin cabinet, everything was working great, LAN connection was flawless. 

Don't know what happened, but now it works only when the RIGHT car is defined as cabinetID=1 and the LEFT car is cabinetID=2. 

When trying the correct way (left is 1, right is 2) The cars don't connect, and both state and play as "main" on the logo screen. 

Tried many things, any ideas?
