  1. New version with corrected death sequences available.
  2. Unfortunately, no, there is no way to genuinely make the games widescreen (16:9). This is because the original video footage for Mad Dog McCree and its sequel was filmed in the standard television aspect ratio of 4:3. The black bars you see are the emulator correctly preserving the original 4:3 ratio to avoid stretching or cropping the image.
  3. An incredible job from many weeks of hard work. Thank you very much.
  4. SOON: New AI-generated version of Ninja Hayate video with Dehalo, Focus Fix and Keyframes fixed
  5. After reviewing my edit, I see that the problem lies in small keyframe misalignments between the original version and the TaitoLD version. I believe the playback FPS is NOT the issue; rather, it is crucial to ensure the keyframes are correctly aligned just before the different death sequences. I will have to review the main videos for each sequence and adjust them manually to match those sequences.
  6. I realize the problem. It's true that the issue might be caused by the difference in frames. I didn't check that the original was at 25fps. The problem is I don't think reconverting my video to 25fps is the best idea, as it could throw everything completely out of sync. I'm going to reconvert to 25fps and edit everything to see what happens
  7. Thank you so much

  9. The only version of Los Justiceros available today is the one that was published a few months ago. This game has been considered the Holy Grail for decades, and we should be grateful to finally have the original version available to play once more
  10. The quality of the remasterings depends on the original sources. In the case of Dragon's Lair, there are high-quality, high-resolution sources that have already been remastered for Blu-ray. For other games, however, we have to start with the DVD source. In my case, I am going to try to achieve the maximum possible allowed by the DVD video sources (which are currently the best available for these games) and software like Topaz Video AI.
  11. In recent years, emulators like Daphne, Singe, Singe2, and Hypseus have rescued the iconic LaserDisc games from oblivion. Thanks to these advances, and the recent dumping of video files from games that were thought lost (such as those from Picmatic), the preservation of this era of video gaming has been ensured. For these games, beyond emulation, visual restoration is key. Intensive work is being carried out to upscale and clean up the original video quality (a notable example being Maximilium's Dragon's Lair project). My purpose is to join this preservation effort with my own video remasters. My philosophy is to use the best sources available today, correct colors, and clean up imperfections, applying AI upscaling in a strictly controlled manner to perfect the image without betraying the original look of the LaserDisc recordings. My first work is the NINJA HAYATE video. The base consists of the videos from the Taito LD Game Collection, to which I have corrected colors (especially the saturated red). In about five or six "death" sequences, the videos in this version show small cuts. To ensure integrity, I was forced to complete these sequences using the current Hypseus video. Therefore, you will notice small visual changes or a slight disparity in those specific sequences. I invite you to try it and send me comments for improvement. The video is compatible with Hypseus. My next target will be the American Laser Games videos, whose current quality is clearly improvable. 12. I see that if I edit the audio track hayate.ogg, the left channel corresponds to the English audio and the right channel to the Japanese audio. This can be confirmed by playing the audio outside of the game, as you can hear both languages in the intro. What's curious is that this doesn't happen in the game. I assume the code only utilizes the left channel, but can someone confirm this for me?" 🧐
  13. Yes, I have also seen the color issue and I plan to correct it
  14. I want it to be as close to the original LaserDisc as possible, so I think version 1 is better. Is this version free of bugs/glitches? I believe a series of bugs/glitches were corrected in one of the versions.
  15. Another query. I want to start making a new Ninja Hayate video using the high-quality footage from the version that came in the Taito LD Game Collection. I've already converted the files so I can begin editing, but I'm not sure if my Hypseus version is the latest. Could someone please share the link to the newest version of this game released for Hypseus? Thanks a lot.
  16. Ok. It would be nice to have a better de-interlacing method, but I understand this is an issue that many people might not care about, since 30 progressive fps is sufficient for them. Thank you very much for the great work
  17. Thank you very much for the explanation, I understand where the problem lies and I see that it is too much work, but it leads me to think about another possibility: if instead of a progressive 60fps video I use an interlaced 30fps one, does the application handle the deinterlacing without a problem or does it only accept progressive videos?
  18. I am thinking of doing new remasters of the videos for the ALG games. My idea is to take the best available sources, edit them to fit the existing projects, correct color and image defects, and upscale them to progressive HD at 60fps. Regarding the video aspect, I have already converted Mad Dog McCree II as a test, but I don't know how to adapt the script to 60fps. If I simply replace the current video with mine, the sequences don't line up, even if I modify the MovieFPS parameter. I need help adapting the existing scripts. Thank you very much.
  19. I want to express my gratitude for this massive effort that allows us to once again enjoy all these laserdisc video games, which have been so difficult to emulate or simulate for so many years. I only see that, currently, the aspect that made these games so impressive in their time—using real video instead of sprites—is being slightly overlooked. Lately, the videos for these projects often lack sufficient quality, as programs are frequently being used to remaster the image to FullHD via AI. However, without proper prior adjustment, this can lead to very low-quality results. It is for this reason that I want to start creating new remasters based on the original DVDs of these games. My idea is to try to achieve the best quality while maintaining respect for the original source. Since the originals are interlaced versions, my plan is to make these videos progressive and at 59.94 fps to preserve the original look that was seen on a CRT monitor. For the first test, I plan to recover the edits of the first two Mad Dog games that I had already prepared for the original Singe emulator. From here, I am asking for help on how I need to modify the current script files to adapt them to the 59.94 fps I aim to achieve. I have seen that there is a parameter in the main .singe file that specifies the frame rate, but modifying only this parameter is not enough. I ask for assistance in achieving my goal.
  20. Thank for your attention to my question.
  21. It would be very interesting if you could share how you managed to do this translation, which programs you used, and how you did it. It would be very useful if anyone else wanted to do it in other languages. Thank you.
  22. The link to this game, please. It's one of the best on this system.
  23. Hello. I put the link to the videos of the Ninja Hayate game that I extracted from the Taito LD Game Collection. They have much better quality than everything we had until now, but it would have to be converted to be able to use it in Hypseus. I don't have time to do it, but I hope someone can do it. switch ninja hayate video
