with standalone Play you can make a blank text file and save it as portable.txt in your emulator folder. with TP it's unnecessary to do so.

This is a perfect response Hippo! As for the comment about shooting themselves in the foot and the discord being overwhelmed, how is it really any different than any other new game they add? Literally every time they add something, the discord gets flooded with "why don't my game work?" comments & complaints. Be happy they're trying to improve emulation for those two systems, since the real Dolphin devs want nothing to do with Tri-Force, and the Play dev seems more interested in making the console games work on mobile devices. So without TP doing what they're doing, we may have never seen any more improvements with those systems.

extract demulshooter into the release folder from hippopippo, and setup your device in the demulshooter gui. double click the game exe. it will launch the game, demulshooter, and reshade for bezel if you have reshade installed.

Most of the system 246 games have problems. It's going to take time for them to fix them. Please be patient and no need to bring up every single issue with every game during the stream. Reaver and TP devs are aware of the issues and are working on them.

any of these other emulators they add will be free to use just as they are standalone. they're all open source and adding any of them to the subscription requirement would violate the various open source licenses. they're just concentrating on improving the arcade parts of those emulators and any changes or improvements will probably never be pushed to the main line emulators

Reaver is working on improvements and had already made some decent improvements in some games. Give it time. It's only been a few days.

What are you not understanding here? Yes they run on the same hardware, but it's a newer version with updates & added content. The 1.06.35 version still needs to be added by TP before it can be played.

I've noticed no differences or improvements comparing the latest Play standalone to the TP fork they include. Other than easier controls configuration.

the exe is easy since it's Unity. it's getting the assembly c sharp decrypted that's the challenge. Game also runs on 2 separate PCs working together. Same with King Kong VR.

It was put to a vote, and voted on by other users during one of the livestreams a few weeks ago. More games free sub subscription more quickly, at the cost of all online services with TP are now subscription.

Are you a Teknoparrot subscriber? All of their online services now require it, even if the game itself does not.

Just don't ever update that TPUI or will require subscription if you do. It's not really a secret. When After Dark got added, they forgot to actually add the subscription requirement so it worked without sub until Pocky pushed an update. So it's just using that particular version of the TP software that you can never update or it will then need a subscription. So it's not some special version that someone made, or hacked. Just an old version that the TP team made a mistake when they pushed the update.

no. you need TP and a subscription to play. It appears to me that TP has implemented the dongle emulation from within own their software instead of being an entirely different decrypted exe or game files, so it's possible it may never be standalone unless another dev would get and decrypt the dongle themselves.
