I take it your windows 11?  If remapping fails, the issue may be a corrupted DirectX architecture. Download and install the legacy DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) installer from the official Microsoft site. Needs more memory . 16GB is just making it on games. at least 24GB is Needed to run in a comfort zone. 32GB is the Best. Remember other things are asserted into your PC's memory. when it's on and running. ALSO. have you tried a different files. I posted a link . just to make sure your starting with a game that runs 100%. you never know!. lol  You could also set it to gpu like in the bottom picture settings. ignore my 2560X1440 165 Hz and the greyed out area is whats set(turned on) Set it to your video res.
