Guest linglang
This goes for all Initial D series games ! There is a bug with the AMD GPU fix in TeknoParrot (1.90) AMD GPU user get a white screen in the test / service menu. (HD6870 1GB) I have not tested yet for the white screen, test / service menu bug on Lindbergh versions of Initial D games. Initial D4 and Initail D5 are Lindbergh games. Steering is going to one side ? Go into the service menu and recalibrate the steering under input assignment. Leave the joystick stick / steering wheel dead center, do not touch. Go to steering and use left, right in the menu to center your steering. The o should be above the ^, steering = 0 First make note / pictures of the original settings in the service menu before you change them ! You are going to configurate the settings for Versus play on two PC's. Tested the Initial D series games with multiplayer settings, the primary cabin can work standalone. You will see a error code about not being able to connect to the other cabin, ignore / skip, with start or change view. Configuring for network (LAN) versus play. First set your network cards to a static network adress (example 192.168.1.x) I prefer static IP adresses for all devices, DHCP ..... well, sucks ..... https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-to-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows Use a few extra network cards and a crossover network cable, if needed. Restart Window$ on both PC's, so to be sure it is using the new IP adresses. Otherwise it could be you get a 169.254.x.x IP adress. It confuses the hell out of the Initial D series games configuration and TeknoParrot. How to check you current network settings ? Windows+R cmd ipconfig /all Go into the game test menu. Go to game assignments. Set operation mode to Special (in-shop vs) Set seat number to A1 (left cabin) and A2 (right cabin) I set Join D.Net to off, if you get a error code in the game, ignore. (press change view on joystick.) Set other settings as you see fit. In the test menu of the Initial D 6 and 7 the test and service buttons are what you assigned in TeknoParrot. In the test menu of the Initial D 8 the test button is view change. The left cabin is cabin A1, the right cabin is A2 Go into TeknoParrot and set the game specific settings, for your network settings. Network IP should be the IP of your network card. Gateway should be the network adress of your router. (not sure what if with crossover cable) DNS1 should be the network adress of your router. (not sure what if with crossover cable) Cab1IP should be the network adress of your left cabin. Cab2IP should be the network adress of your right cabin. Save settings. Start the games on both PC's. When you have done it right, you will see a green message sign at the left top of the screen, and / or blue icons at the right top of the screen. Test and enjoy ! Onto the next game. Initial D5 Export 2.00 (Lindbergh) This one is fairly easy to configurate. Here we go .... First, Set the game specific settings in TeknoParrot. Also the joystick settings for test / service mode. Network - IP is the network IP adress of your network card. Windows+R cmd ipconfig /all Network - Cab1IP is the IP adress of the left cabin. Network - Cab2IP is the IP adress of the right cabin. Now go into the test menu. Go to game assignments, press the assigned test button on your joystick. Set serverbox to OFF Set seat number to 1P for the left cabin and 2P for the right cabin. Press test to exit this menu. You could try network test, but I get a bad response. Start the game and enjoy. If you did it right you will see a blue icon at the top right of the screen. But notice, choose the correct icons / options, otherwise you get in to story mode. Choose the third option, the fourth is greyed out. Enjoy !! I hope that this tutorial helps other people out. It takes you a few moments to read, but it took me all night to figure it out. When you get the game working, thanks to this "manual", please give a thanks at this post. And a BIG thanks for the people who originally uploaded the games, we all can enjoy (if you do it right) !!! And a BIG thanks for the people who originally uploaded the games, we all can enjoy (if you do it right) !!! And of course all the people involved in, the game loaders and JVS I/O emulation applications we use, and all the people I "forgot". Coldmind
Hello Linglang. So it has been some days and even week until i am trying to setup LAN play on ID8 but without success. I setup everything as told ( Ip's, cabin and everything) on both PC's. I manage to get ingame and have 2 blue icons on top right corner, but i only get orange message on top left corner. Both machine are marked in top right with an "A", not A1 or A2, maybe it can hellp solve the problem, and when 1 go 1vs1 on cabin 1 pc , it is waiting for cabin 2, then i enter 1 vs 1 with cabin 2 and it try to look for cabin1 but show some message error ( XXXXXXX 8301 and YYYYYY (6018) ). Any clue ?

I also get the green light and blue lights and can sometime get a two player game working but Frequently breaks and crashes that it’s not playable in two player shop vs mode, all my other two player setup I have them working no issues wmmt5r, Sega Rally3, Daytona 3, mariokart, etc... have not seen anyone mention any issues with id games lately, I’m sure I have missed something !! Does anyone have this issue?

gjy
Il y a 4 heures, petje a dit : Did you set your PC's to static ip addres or do you use dhcp ? All static and reserved on my router also, 192.168.1.1 router 192.168.1.2 id1 192.168.1.3 id2 In single player mode game works fine, I’ve also changed the Nic speed on both machines from auto to 100mb/s full duplex still didn’t make a difference again strange that it works fine in other games just not the id series
