    Reiwa was in early DDR A3 versions and was removed kinda early on. It’s the A3 version with the new A3 challenge chart that I’m trying to play, and it’s a build someone in this thread put together with all the removed licenses retained. I know the others like the 20th Anniversary songs work, Hillbilly Shoes, Only My Railgun, etc, just this one is giving me issues. The files I had in the first place should have all been from A3 to begin with. I can’t see why it wouldn’t be compatible like you’re saying, it has to be another reason. 

    Using this file works for me.

    I ran into something strange trying to work with the A3 FINAL 8-part dump from a couple pages back, and I was wondering if there was a fix for what I'm seeing.

    I noticed that Comet skater (コメット⇒スケイター, code 'cosc'), from what I can tell, has the main track and the menu preview version swapped (ingame fades to silence after 10 seconds, full song appears to play on the menu on hover). From what I can tell just searching on the song's code, those files look the right size with the right names. Is this mixup something that I can fix easily in the files, or would I have to decompile something?

    Here are the correct files, although only one seems to be wrong, but I leave them all here just in case.

    Were "removed" license songs still be playable with April data? (Instead of someone who re-coded old DDR songs using OMNIMIX)

    In every update that came out I would manually update the musicdb.xml taking care not to delete songs, and not to replace the files with the thumbnails of the songs or modifying them to add the missing thumbnails. They are all playable as far as I have seen.
    I have tried to keep the songs also in World, but they don't appear in the song list, I don't know why.

    Edit: In the latest version of the Asphyxia plugin they work only if they have the old difficulty notation, if they have the new one they do not appear in the song list.image.jpeg.4a40cbdb06fe26201ba16e1b8bc2fa23.jpeg

    Thank you. It might take me a couple days to download it with Mega's bandwidth rules, but I've started downloading.

     

    Edit: Yep, got parts 1-4 before the transfer limit kicked in on part 5. I only have to wait 6 hours though, not 24 like I initially thought. I figured that might be good information for anyone else looking to download this.

     

    Edit: There is another 6 hour wait to download part 8, all 71mb of it lol. But I'm almost done. Thanks again for uploading it.

     

    You can also use a vpn extension in your browser to “skip” the mega limit. Downloads can be resumed without problem if you run out of download quota and change location with the vpn.

    For A3, does anyone have the files needed to put the removed songs back in? There are old posts where people would upload them for A20 Plus, but it looks like no one has done that in a while. But I don't really know what files I need to restore the jackets even if I could track down the ssq files. Stuff like Reiwa, Shiny Days, and the 20th Anniversary songs got challenge charts not in A20 Plus before being removed.

    I have an A3 compilation, with which I have tried to keep the retired songs. I uploaded it to Mega, it's about 21GB. (I updated the compilation by correcting some songs that were wrong)

    Okay, so weirdest thing, it's actually working. I wanted to see what happened if I started the game and it's working with the IP address that I had in spicetools previously, I didn't change anything there. So I think MB is just displaying weird showing that 0.0.0.0:8000, as far as the game can see it is running the right IP address.

     

    Edit: Sorry for all the edits, someone in this thread actually posted that August 2023 update I was missing several pages back, I have all 208 A3 songs now. But if someone has an easy drop in set up to restore the removed songs I would greatly appreciate it.

    In computing, using the IP 0.0.0.0 is like a wildcard. It is even more generic than using localhost if I am not mistaken.

    If possible it is, but Asphyxia has nothing implemented about events, unlike MonkeyBusiness, which has some old events implemented from what I have seen. It is possible in Asphyxia to "copy" what MonkeyBusiness has and build on that to add the BABY-LON event, but it is not that easy, as each one has its own language and structure, so it would take time and research.

    I tried to follow your tutorial step by step, but i got an error message after i launch the import.bat you created.

    As you can see in picture 01, the 3 files are all in the root of monkeybusiness: the db.json (cointaining all of my previous score plus also the score of another ddr profile, my gf), the automap_0.xml (generated from playing a full credit with the desired profile to export on DDR a20+) and the import.bat you created.

    I got an error message, can you please tell me if i'm doing somwthing wrong?

    Try with the value 20 in "--version". I remember something similar happened to me. Backup your db.json file just in case.

    Actually i'm trying to merge all of my scores scattered around into a single db.json on my monkeybusiness profile. In the readme section of the github page of MB there is a guide about an import tool included in monkeybusiness, that can dump you score from spice and import into you db

    i tried running from the command line the script as stated in the readme, but i got the message "missing modules", "missing tinyDB" and in the readme there is no mention of it...

    Can anyone help me understand what i have to do in order to:
    1-use spice to export the scores

    2-use the import tool for import my score onto the db.json containing my profile.

    I will try to explain as clearly as I can. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

    1. Enable the "EA Automap" and "EA Netdump" options in spicecfg.exe.

    2. Start the DDR normally in the profile where the data you want to import is located. Just go to the song selection and then close the game. A file called "automap_0.xml" should be generated in the folder, it contains all the data from the profile in which you played.

    3. Move "automap_0.xml" to the folder where the "start.bat" file is in your MonkeyBusiness.
    4. To facilitate the process, in the same folder of the previous step, move the "Import.bat" file that I attach in this post.

    5. Open "Import.bat" with a text editor and replace the numbers in "--ddr_id 19299817" with the id of the profile to which you want to add the data. This id can be found in "db.json" of MonkeyBusiness. If you do not have the "db.json" file, it is because you do not have a profile created, you must create a profile in MonkeyBusiness and the file will be generated.

    6. In the same file, modify if necessary "--version 20" replacing "20" to "19" if you have A20 or A20P. If you have A3 leave it unchanged. (If you get an error containing "ParseError: no element found" try changing the "--version" parameter to the other one, i.e. try both 19 and 20).
    7. Execute the "Import.bat" file. The data should be merged correctly.
    8. Repeat the process for each profile you want to merge.

    9. Don't forget to disable "EA Automap" and "EA Netdump" when finished.

    Since the game crashes at the final check when using BemaniTools, it isn't able to get into the Test/Service Menu screen.

    Would one of the /prop/ folder's xml config files have this setting?

     

    Alternately, I could try going back to 2023103002's working build and changing the setting in that menu. Do you have an idea of what might need to be fixed, though? Here's an image showing my settings...

    Sorry, it was the option "VIRTUAL COIN" now that I check it well.
    You had to configure the "OPERATION SETTINGS" and in it "TAX RATE SETTING", "PRICE SETTINGS PATTERN 1", "PRICE SETTINGS PATTERN 2" and "PRICE SETTINGS PATTERN 3".
    I leave the screenshots of how I have it configured, and the file I found that has those options, which is the "testmode-v.xml" from the "prop" folder, at the end of the file is the <virtualCoin> tag and in the <taxrate>, <basicRate1> and <basicRate2>.

    I have tried upgrading using the 2023112900 files that NoctsRanun posted, but it keeps crashing when I try to run the data on a Chimera PCB in a DDR cab with a CRT, which I'm launching with BemaniTools. The data will get to the final check and then crash with a pop-up. The log screen seems to indicate it is crashing due to something coin or event related (is this the Babylon Galaxy event issue mentioned a few posts back)?

    I have posted two images below of the errors.

    It will do this using both working 2023091900 and 2023103002 data with the 1129 data applied over it in the correct folders.

    Any ideas what might be happening here?

     

     

    NOTE: Interestingly, while the 2023112900 files will crash on my Chimera (with BemaniTools), if I try the data on a Windows 10 PC using Spice, it will book just fine. 

    I haven't been able to get Spice working in my Chimera set-up, though.

    I remember that when updating to the last version I also got an error, to fix it you have to configure "COIN OPTIONS" and "ECOMODE OPTIONS" so that they do not exceed a certain amount or something like that.

    Out of curiosity, did you add KAC yuni to the female characters? How hard would it be to add skins from other ddr games like from the x series?

     

    I have no idea how it could be done, I have not investigated anything in depth, the changes I have been able to make are because I know some programming, and they are things more or less easy to understand just by seeing how they are done.

    I remember, Alice is after Gus, so it does not work correctly when selecting her. Because of how it is programmed, it may be that it only works correctly with one digit, that is, it works with the configuration from 0 to 9, Gus is 9, with 2 digits, that is, from 10 onwards it does not work correctly, Alice is 11.

    That's neat. I just gave it a quick try on my back up version and your version in the webui has an actual character option compared to the webui one that I'm using. 

     

    The unfortunate thing is that when when saving anything in the profile for your webui it changes character back to all character random and it turns off the calorie count. 

     

    EDIT: 

     

    Tried your version on my actual ddr a3 file and it autopopulated the calorie count as on and gave me yuni as the background dancer. I'd rather have alice but I'm not picky so I won't touch the submit button in case if it reverts it back to off and all characters lol

     

    One thing I did notice is that there is no Yuni KAC6th model selectable. I haven't played in the arcade in a month but I do believe I have KAC 6th yuni as my model. 

     

    And does the calorie count (workout weight) go off of KG or LBS in asphyxia? I would think KG since it's based off the Japanese version. I know it's far from accurate but it gives me a good idea of how much time I've spent playing without having to check my phone. 

     

    I update the plugin in the same post.
    Regarding the character selection, I corrected the problem, but apparently this option does not work correctly, both in Asphyxia and MB, it only selects correctly up to Gus, after him the game uses random characters.

    The score will update and save like normal when you're in game. But when you exit the game and go back in the score resets to your last played score.

     

    The score will always be whatever you got last regardless if it's a lower or higher one

     

    The songs that have a score in them will show as 0 at the result screen and then display your last gotten score and never save the highest one

     

    The score doesn't save at all but will have a clear indicator if you got a PFC, gfc, etc. 

     

    There is different versions of the a3 plugin for asphyxia so whatever you're using is a little better than the one I got. 

     

    I share with you the plugin I use, if you don't get good results I would ask you to check the terminal for any error. Because it seems to me very strange the problems you are having.

    If it is only in some songs it is strange, but if it is in general it could be problems with the database that is no longer registering the changes.

    P.S.: I updated the plugin, I have tested it a little bit so it may have some bugs.

    P.S.2: I updated the plugin again, added more options to configure in "Profiles > Settings" in the WebUI.

    For those that use asphyxia offline, I've noticed some songs aren't properly saving. I've even used a newer plugin that someone posted and it worked much better than the old one but it's still not perfect.

    Any way to fix these?

     

    Could you please specify what is the wrong behavior and how it should behave?, because I just tried those songs and they save correctly.

    One erroneous behavior I found is that it does not save when scores are 0.

    as for the baby lon galaxy event, i downloaded latest version of MONKEY BUSINESS and updated to the latest a3 data posted here. is this supposed to work as soon as i log in or do i have to disable the "force unlock" option from the patcher for it to work? (because with the force unlock for example HOU is already unlocked)
    i'm just curious, but i dont know if the unlocking and the event are really supported on monkey business...🤔

    The .m2v files must be placed in the directory "contents\data\mdb_apx\movie\background".

    You need to register the dll's when you change the location or name of your DDR folder, or when you do it for the first time. Personally, I don't install anything additional like the k-lite codec.

     

    Many of the songs are locked by different situations, it can be by region, because they have to be played in a specific turn, by event, etc. What happens when you unlock them is that all those restrictions are omitted, making them available at all times, I don't think they influence anything in the events.
    Monkey Business, from what I have tested in a previous version, does run the event, shows the introductory video and increases the score each time a song is played, what is not implemented and what I think is missing is to save the accumulated score in each game session to be able to access the next part of the event. On the other hand, Asphyxia only starts in a normal way.

    Yes, I have a copy.
    To modify those values, you have to change them from the file "savedata/ddr@asphyxia.db" (It goes without saying that you must have already played and created your profile in DDR.). You have to open it with some text editor and look for the lines containing '"collection": "profile"', if you have more than one you have to look for the one with your profile name which is in the "COMMON" section. (Before making any changes, I recommend that you save a copy of your "ddr@asphyxia.db" file).

     

    For example, this is my profile, and the bold field is my username:

    Sorry for how difficult this may be to understand, but it is a logic applied to programming, which is not user-friendly.

    If you have a lot of difficulties to achieve the configuration you want, just put your profile, that is all of this:

    Fixed the stops part in the second stanza xD

     

    When I use the "arkmdxp3.dll" file from "Throw Out.rar" before choosing the game mode, the game freezes. Using an older "arkmdxp3.dll" I have no problems.
    Everything else is fine.
