I don't understand what you say, but can test, in which script should I add this?
For me overlay resizes fine, the problem was the size of the images themselves.
The other problem I commented before:
Maybe is because of some type of dither you add when resizing?
By default the overlay uses half of the video size. So a video of 720*480 will have a 360*240 overlay (it's for consistency with the old singe).
BUT with the line overlaySetResolution(vldpGetWidth(), vldpGetHeight()) you force the overlay to match the video size. So 720*480 too...
It needs to be inserted in the script. Maddog is not based on my scrcipt so i don't know it so well, but it should work if you insert it at the very beginning of maddog.singe (in the script directory).
Theorically you'll notice the result directly : all the images of the overlay sould appear tiny.

Hi guys, the correct command line launch isn't:
singe.exe [OPTION] -v laserdisc.mkv laserdisc.singe
...but...
singe.exe [OPTION] -v laserdisc.txt laserdisc.singe
...like for the older Daphne Singe.
I suppose that the new release automatically recognize the framefile.txt with the same name of the file video name but for ActionMax games or any other title with multiple video specified on the frame file, you can't point to a single video.mkv.
Actually it depends. If you have a structure based on multiple video files then you need a txt file to group them and call that txt after -v.
I you've got a single video file (like my games) with sound you call it directly after the -v

Yes, I know. But where are the overlay images size and position defined? I have seen the overlays in arrays in globals.singe, but I can't find size and position.
Thanks
With this command in the script the size of the overlay will match the size of the video:
overlaySetResolution(vldpGetWidth(), vldpGetHeight())

Hi! Is there a way to directly start a title without going through the menu? I tried pointing to the singe files inside the related game folders but it doesn't seem to work. I would like to put them in my HyperSpin with a direct launch.
Yeah. You need to point the game bat (at least that's what i do in Launchbox).

I think Poiu is working on it, the problem is the crappy source. Very difficult to find a good one.

Apologies if this is a really dumb question, but how do you change the key mappings in Singe?
I don't have my buttons set to the standard MAME mappings, so the action buttons are not working.
I can see in the Singe folder there is a 'controls.cfg.example' file, which I have changed and renamed to controls.cfg, but still doesn't workIn each game directory, you've got a control.cfg file. That's where you change the controls individually (all of my games share the same config, so you can copy/paste).

I know, but as I use a 15khz monitor my best progressive resolution is that. It displays a little better for that kind of games that a correct aspect ratio one, like 320x240.
Actually the philosophy of singe is rather to help those old laserdisc survive by "upgrading" them to current resolution (and of course new games.
That said i'm not against releasing other versions for CRT but i need more informations cause i'm not a 15hz expert. I know those "half-height" resolution does exist but i'm not sure what is the best way to encode them. Any idea ?

I know that at least Mad Dog 2, Drug Wars, Marbella Vice and Zorton Brothers were 2 player games. I think the rest were only 1 player:
You learned me something. I'm not in the gun stuff at all but you should ask Poiu.

Apparently Realtek driver causes the issue.

Any idea how to get the ALG stuff working under Linux with an Aimtrak?
I had to have it running with the xorg X11 lightgun startup script, so it would work with the latest versions of MAME.
As a result, it doesn't seem to work as a mouse anymore as it did before.
Anyone else running like this and has got it working?Ask to Poiu. I'm not the lightgun expert

Yep. 2 new games and 1 port.

I have just opened some new overlay images of crime patrol, and the are not pixel perfect, as they were in the old version. So they look blurry. It is more noticeable the smaller resolution you use.
Also, when you reload without using all bullets, the world "reload" is shown for an instant, when it shouldn't.
I know they are not vey important problems, but makes it feel chunky.
Thanks!
No plans for dual lightgun support? It would be amazing!
You should ask all those question to Poiu. He made the ALG ports.
Dual Lightgun for which game ? To my knowledge there a no 2-player Laserdisc game.

I'm trying to run these from the commandline so I can make scripts to add them to Emulationstation.
I've managed to get most of them to work, but i'm having issues with Cliff Hanger, Fire & Ice, TimeGal & Titan.
These seem to be in a slightly different format to the rest as there is no .txt file with the video files.
Any idea how I run these from the command line?I don't use Emulation station but Launchbox.
In Launchbox, i declare the bat as if it was the rom (with no emulator). Maybe it works in ES ?
The fact my games don't have txt file is because i use mp4 instead of m2v (better quality/compression) but it does not change the bat file anyway. After -v you declare the path to the video (a txt if you're using the old singe system, or a real video in my case).

Thanks a lot my amazing friend..please post them in 16/9 version...thanks a lot..you are amazing and very very kind
Here is your link for Dl2. https://mega.nz/folder/ZHpwSIJD#ruUg1DhS74oJxHC-5OHyIA
For TG i don't now, lot of things to change

forgive me my amazing friend..if possible, only if possible..post please a 16/9 version of DRAGON'S LAIR TIME WARP a nd of TIME GAL,PLEASE
For DL2 it is possible of couse, but the image will be cropped. For TG too but possibly it will remove some essential parts of the action.
It is essential to understand that those 16/9 versions do not really exist, they are fake 16/9. They enlarged the width of the screen and so up and down part are cut out. Don Bluth made the game in 4/3.
I will post them but i don't support these recrop. I prefer bars on the side with all the drawings.

Ok it is a sound driver issue.
Anyone that gets fast video and garbled sound check your sound drivers.
Check if you have Realtek sound drivers. I changed my drivers to generic Windows High Def sound drivers and the video and sound is now working correctly. If someone has Realtek audio, and Singe is working please let me know what version your sound drivers are.
Great news ! Enjoy the games.

Thanks.... there must be some sort of issue with Singe and audio. I disabled my sound devices in device manager, and now singe wont even load. it locks up when trying to run the menu, and wont load at all when trying to run from your upload.
I don't know, ive made at least 20 installations without any problem.
Maybe remove the -z option from the bat in my games to check the message in the DOS box

Every game is exactly like this. Even when running them from your upload.
adding new games, and reindexing makes no difference.
the .mp4 plays fine when watching just the video.
I will forward this to Scott. Maybe he has an idea. Looks like a sound problem.

Il y a 3 heures, maabus a dit :
Yeah your games seem to work fine from your link and running the bat file. I just included what happened when running from the menu in case someone else wanted to use the menu. I have not tried downloading your games from the links on the singe website and see if those work in the menu.
This speed issue is so frustrating.
I was looking forward to playing your games. I hope i can get it figured out.
watching the .mp4 is fine, so it does have to be something to do with the index.
Frustrating yes. I don't understand. It has something to do with the sound probably.
Could you make a video ?

Il y a 17 heures, maabus a dit :
Ok I went to the data directory and removed the .index files. Reran the games, and I get the same thing.
I deleted the .mp4 from the video folders, but i think that killed the games.
I also disconnected my remote system that was connecting to my arcade system, and it's still happening.
System specs...
Desktop
intel core i9-9900k 3.60GHz
32 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super
With such a monster it should run fine.

Hi! Im using a 15khz crt, and I have the old daphne runing at my maximum progressive resolution, 640x240 (that looks better than 320x240), using:
-fullscreen_window -ignore_aspect_ratio?
So the question is, how to use ignore aspect ratio in 2.0?
Also, the new overlay images seems closer to the original, isnt it? But at these resolutions they look blurry, when in the old veraion showed pixel perfect.
Also, any plan for suppirting dual lightguns (Raw input)?
Thanks!
with -a in the bat you can force aspect ratio (click on singe exe for exact spelling).
That said, i wonder if it can work at those resolutions. The overlay images will be way too big.

Maybe you can relay this to Scott? I tried to sign up to the Singe forum, but I guess it's not setup yet.
Here are a few errors I'm getting while using Singe.
Displaying the following games I get an error in a Singe console window.
Crime Patrol, Crime Patrol 2,
After closing Singe I have to close this singe console window.
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
libpng warning; iCCP: cHRM chunk does not match sRGB
If a game is added to the menu, but does not have
I will relay it, but those warnings are not important.

On top of my fast video, and garbled sound issue, I have come across the following errors.
Selecting Karis' games in the menu then quitting, and reloading Singe, the menu locks up.
Playing Karis' games from his bat file works fine. (Dragon's Lair Extend looks beautiful!)
Also Selecting Karis' games in menu I get following error
Error executing function 'onInputPressed': Singe\Menu.Singe:63 attempt to concatenate a nil value (field 'GENRE')
and Error: specified resolution is larger than the display.
Playing ALG games, and ActionMax games i have the following errors in the singe console window
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
libpng warning; iCCP: cHRM chunk does not match sRGB
createtexture(d3dpool_default): invalidcall
If a game is added to the menu, but does not have an attract .mp4 video in the games video folder, Singe locks up.
Quitting Mad Dog Mcree, Mad Dog Mcree 2, Platoon, Time Traveler and Dragon's Lair TV then quitting menu does not close Singe console window.
MDM stays open with script calls.
MDM2 stays open with dip_coinspercredit: 1
Platoon stays open with Playing CDROM version 1.0b
Time Traveler stays open with playing DVD version 2.0b
DLTV stays open with script calls and the following warnings
libpng warning: iccp: profile 'asus mx34v': 0h: pcs illuminant is not d50
libpng warning: chrm: invalid chromaticities
I cannot answer for others games, but for mine, try to download them from the link i provided and launch them with the game bat, not the menu.

Yeah. For Maddog for example, the txt is not needed. You could call the maddog.mp4 directly (it won't change anything anyway).
