You shouldn't have to source it from another file. It's just in /data/gamedata/.

You downloaded mdx-3.1.0.zip and put all those files into the plugins folder? When you do, overwrite any files it asks to overwrite. It should let you log in just fine.

MDX is DDR, the other one is a different game. Check the dates from the data you downloaded and match them to the corresponding date in the GitHub page. In this case you just downloaded 2025061002 so you’ll want plugin “mdx-3.1.0 DDR plugin 3.1.0 (for 2025061000)”. Don’t worry that the 02 doesn’t match the 00, the date is the most important part here (in case you don’t know, break it down 2025 06 10, it’s the June 10, 2025 update). Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, just trying to give a full explanation so you know how to update the plugin in the future.

Did you upgrade to the latest asphyxia plugin?

No that’s a security thing since this is an arcade game. You wouldn’t want someone playing on your “real” card without your permission. I’m glad you got it working though. Do you have the patches set up in spice? P-Free is like the old PS2 version event mode where you aren’t kicked out of the game after your set. It’s the closest you will come to not having to constantly enter your card. The picture shows what the patch screen looks like when you have it set up. Oh right, the song list. You’re gonna need this musicdb.xml file I posted here for someone else. If you don’t have this then you will only have the DDR World category songs even with a working server, nothing 1st-A3 will show up. In the DDR plugin go to the “data” folder and paste this file. Then in the Asphyxia web ui go to the DDR plugin and there will be a box to specify what database you’re using, just type “musicdb.xml” without the quotes in that box. Then once your server is working you’ll have every song. Also, did you download the MDX-2024112700 file and paste that into your game files (overwrite when it asks)? If so, you need the 2024112700 version of the plugin MDX-3.0.4c. That could also be part of the problem with your server as well. It just dawned on me that even with the November data my game build still says October when I start it.

After you put the asphyxia plugins in the plugin folder, are you: 1) running asphyxia 2) setting your ea service url from the webui in spicecfg The game can’t see your server unless you tell it where to look. If you don’t tell it what your server address is then it will look for Konami’s server and obviously it’s not going to have access to that. If your server is running and configured then the game will go past the screen you posted earlier and you can “swipe” your eamusement card to start the game.

I’m really not trying to be vague. I didn’t think I needed to tell you to put your asphyxia plugins in the plugins folder. Especially since the asphyxia website has those instructions, you know? In spicecfg, click options and see where it says “EA Service URL”? That’s where you put the address for your local server. It should be something like “http://localhost:(number)/core” and the exact address will be in the web UI. Again, I didn’t think I needed to spell out that the eamusement URL goes in the eamusement URL section. Like I’m not trying to be rude here, unlike you swearing at me and saying my instructions are bullshit. I’m just assuming that you’re reading the instructions for the things you’re downloading and reading what the screen says in spicecfg. If anything, I treated you like you’re smart enough to do this. It’s the opposite of being rude.

I don’t even know what dll file you’re talking about. You just download Asphyxia, download the plugin for your version (2024101500), put the plugin in the asphyxia folder, launch asphyxia, get your server address and put that into spicecfg, and that’s it. You shouldn’t need a specific dll file for anything.

I linked the github page for the plugin earlier in the page. Make sure you get the version for the 2024101500 data since that is what you have.

In either spicecfg, or in the game you can press F4 to get to the menu, you need to map a button for test, service, and swipe card. I use T and S on my keyboard since they aren't mapped to anything else on my set up and easy to remember, and space bar to swipe my card, but you can make them whatever you want. For test and service, one inserts coins, the other brings up the operator menu. In the operator menu you can set free play if you want then you don't need coins. On my set up we have paseli turned on, and the Asphyxia plugin is set up so you have unlimited paseli so every time you swipe your eamusement card you can "pay" that way.

I see that the Asphyxia plugin is updated, does anyone have the data that goes with it?

Hey so suddenly out of nowhere asphyxia is saying network busy when I try to log in. I haven’t changed any settings since the last time I played, the web ui works just fine, and if I put my pin in wrong it gives me the message for that. I can’t login at all. Also something changed for bemanipatcher, it doesn’t find the Omnimix gamemdx file as a match for anything. Does anyone have the old one? My brother insists my Omnimix sync is off and considering he’s significantly better than I am I tend to believe him even though I’m playing like I normally would on it. Edit: My problem with World was the asphyxia plugin, there was an update for it today that fixed my exact issue. That's up and running again. But if anyone can help me out with bemanipatcher for Omnimix I would appreciate it. Edit: I attached a video of every Flare unlock popping up when the profile has enough points that they've been unlocked a long time ago. It seems to trigger when we get points. If the set is worth no points it doesn't happen, but if even one song is worth points then we have to acknowledge every Flare unlock again. unlock bug.mp4

Put it in the “data” folder for the plug in. Start your asphyxia server and in the webui go to the DDR plug in. Find the box where you specify that you have a musicdb.xml file and just type “musicdb.xml”. Edit: the new Asphyxia plugin shows the World League open message at login and Flair unlocks after every set now. It’s especially obnoxious if you are high enough to have all the songs and charts unlocked since you have to answer that “new benefit” prompt like 12 times. At your leisure, of course, but I just wanted to report it and figured this was a good place.

IIRC you get it from the DDR World game files. It’s been months since I had to get it and I used the same one as the previous asphyxia plugin so I didn’t change anything there. If it’s not in the game files I can try to upload the one I’m using later.

If you mean the website to get the patches, it's https://sp2x.two-torial.xyz/ Spice seems to still see the 2024112700 data as 2024101500 and that's what it shows up as in the game still. None of the new songs seem to load in? I'm looking through the contents of the rar file and it certainly looks like the stuff needed to load them in. I see xsb, xwb, ssq, jacket, thumbnail, startup.arc, etc among other stuff (maybe customizer stuff, I don't remember when that was implemented). I don't know if maybe asphyxia needs to be updated for it? Edit: Yeah the answer was asphyixia, looks like the plugin was updated 6 hours ago. As far as I can tell all the data the change log says should be there is there. Thanks so much to whoever it is that manages that, you're a hero.
