u can link the youtube video? im curious about this. My other question would also be anyone figure out someway to unlock all the cars permanently ? i have the original arcade cabinet but sucks that u cant just unlock the cars in the operator menu or something.

@Solstar i dont know but to me it feels like that rtx 3090 might be overkill for the game and probably causing a issue? i mean i can run the game on my laptop with intel graphics just fine. maybe try taking the gpu out and running it with your onboard graphics to see? If that is the issue maybe try latest gpu driver if u have the latest try a older one?

@OOKAMI u try running the game with the hasp protection removed? i think the exe is aliens dehasped. im running the game on windows 10 currently with no dongle emulation. as per the readme file of the game. Aliens Extermination This aliens dehasped.exe has be modified to allow the game to run from any directory / subdirectory as long you have AUDIO, DATA & shaders on the same level. Just run "aliens dehasped.exe" from inside DATA

Anyone know what happened to that patch or maybe it was a rumor , that could make this game 2 player on the same computer? i know its probably possible cause the normal version of the game u can play against each other on the same screen.

did u make sure the files are not read only?

if there is no driver for your gpu on windows xp, then u wont be able to play this i recon. im not that familiar with vmware but from what i gather its just a emulation of a computer inside your os . so it runs like a real computer would only virtually... so in that sense u need to install drivers on the vmware os not your own one, having a driver installed on your own os would not help u here. so like i said , u need to install drivers on the vmware windows xp os itself to get this to work. get a older gpu that has a driver for xp otherwise i think its game over and u wont be able to play this. i got this to play by using this image to install it on a normal hard drive to boot straight into the operating system. so i did not use vmware.

but u need to install the drivers for your graphics card on the vm. if the driver for your card is not on the windows xp embedded u running , then how would u have acceleration? that would be impossible. just cause u have the driver installed on windows 10 or 11, doesnt mean its installed in the virtual machine. vm is basically "Running Windows on a virtual machine (VM) is like running a computer inside another computer" if u run any os on the vm u need to install drivers for the os like say sound etc this has nothing todo with the upload, its just that your graphics card is not being detected by the virtual machine windows xp . same as what u would put this on a hard drive and boot directly to it, its the same thing. so what u need todo is 1. find the driver for your graphics card that is compatible with windows xp embedded. u might have to download xp service pack 2 for this to work, i had to install xp service pack 2 to be able to install the driver. 2. run the vm and let the game boot 3. close the game , as in exit the game. 4. install your graphics driver and reboot the vm . if u having issues with installing and getting some weird error from the driver setup. just run the setup and let it extract the files to a folder. then u go into device manager and look for something like display adapter and just click on that to install the driver manually .

i have not installed it in vmware. just on a regular computer so i dont know how vmware works. but i would assume that in the virtual box u need to install drivers on there , not just on your own computer. i dont even know if u get drivers for 4090 or 4060 for windows xp embedded.

having worked on this game alot u have to find the drivers for your gpu that works on windows xp embedded. install them and u are sorted.

just use a program called ghost explorer. easy. opens the .gho file just like u would a rar or zip file.

okay to give an update for anyone out there. after messing around for ages i found the fault. issue was the usb cable, mine came with blue cables. its an extension cable that plugs into the gun usb and then the computer. for some reason my cable on player 1 was the problem. once i put another cable , the problem is now gone . ive even put the old cable back just to see and with the old cable it freezes.

So hopefully someone really smart could give me some help im having with my aliens. ived posted this elswhere and also found from my searching some other person having the same problem. The game freezes after a short while if u have the recoil power connected. The game would just stop responding after a short while of the recoil working, causing u not to be able to move the cursor anymore. This only happens when power is connected to the recoil, no recoil the game works just fine, with amo counter etc just perfect. but obviously the recoil adds so much fun to this game , its something that i just cant live without. Other times ive had the keyboard also lock up if i stayed in the game longer and not quit when the gun froze up. The other bit of info i did find however is this. if i connect one of the guns only to recoil, that gun would work perfect and not freeze up with recoil working, its only for me when i connect both guns that i have the issue above. u could play fine 2 player, just 1 gun wont have the recoil... here is what i have tried. 1. tried two power supply to supply voltage for the 24v coils. < made zero difference 2. in a risky move, i cut the usb cables and connected them to receive 5volt from the external power supply since it has higher amps. i figured maybe the guns for some reason draws too much power from the computer and that makes problem with the usb , causing a lock up. 3. i have tried demulshooter, i have tried mamehooker < even if mamehooker is not needed i figured it was worth a shot. 4. i have tried to disable USB suspend mode , under power saver. < this helped nothing 5. i updated the usb controller drivers < still nothing 6. changed usb ports < did not work 7. tried it on windows 10 on my computer, tried it on windows 7 on my laptop < same problem

i always liked jconfig since its less bulky . the guns i had todo a fresh install of windows on the computer , since the original pc that was in there did not work. so everything is from a fresh install. the game works fine its just the calibration thats abit weird , with the cursor jumping abit. i did do a calibration on the game itself and in windows. figured it must be some setting im missing , either in windows or in jconfig itself.

Hope someone can shed some light on a problem im having. I have a aliens extermination arcade machine, like the ones u buy from china with the mounted guns. So im using jconfig to run aliens. The problem im having is the sensitivity of the guns. When in game, the cross hairs would jump when i hold the guns still or even just moving around. Adjusting deadzone higher makes it worse. I have calibrated the guns in windows and done so in the game menu. I have also changed the pots on the guns with the exact part number, just to rule that out. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

ive seen someone on youtube run it with jconfig. but they not explaining how. tp just feels very bloated in terms of a loader. they have done great work on it no doubt. i like jconfig cause it just so light and easy to use, hence why i want to run contra with it.

anyone can tell me how to get contra evolution to work with jconfig. i set controls but doesnt work. getting a error about setting clock. but i cant seem to enter test menu cause the button doesnt work when i set it. is there maybe some game spesific version of jconfig for this game?

okay well nothing is working to get king of fighters climax to not crash. i do remember i had a issue with gti club not being able to run, nobody could give me a answer when i asked. but on gti club the game does not even start it just goes straight into gti3.exe has stopped working. so two games not working with the same error. someone here must be able to figure this one out. please

jconfig-universe.fandom.com all the files on this site doesnt work anymore. using mega surely cant be the right choice? anyone have 300200.key file for me? i think that might be the issue. but who knows. NB : Found the key file in misc folder of jconfig. under gamekeys . but this game is still crashing. driving me nuts to say the least, ive searched and looked everywhere. what gives ?

also doesnt jconfig emulate rfid by itself ?

just tried it. still does the same thing. its like the game starts running and right after the snk screen it kicks me out.

hey hopefully someone here can help me figure out the problem im having im having a issue running King of Fighters XIII Climax. im using jvs loader. the game starts, i get to the snk screen. right after that the game crashes. giving the error "game.exe has stopped working"

hi guys. awesome work u doing here. i have a problem running gti club, ive tried everything i could to get it to run but it would just crash each time. most other games i run just fine like dirty driving, virtua tennis etc, sf4... but this one no go. am i missing some special file or something?
