I didn't mean for the spicecfg.exe settings thing for you, sorry I edited my post.
Just more so wondering if you spam the 'test' key you have binded in spicecfg.exe if it'll let you past it or not.
Edit actually I had that same error when I was testing the use of it on a couple of my PCs I own, and I fixed it, but I did 3 different things and I don't know which one ultimately fixed it.
1. Updated my Nvidia drivers.
2. Installed/Reinstalled DirectX.
3. Installed virtual audio cables.
