OK, so, I'm not alone having troubles. And more or less the same one by the way.

Where did you get your Vol5 et Vol6 versions ? In my case, it was on ElAmigos website (not sure I can post the link here but let me know in DM if you want it). Same here, if people could share their versions/website, we could try & find what is working and what is not.

Happy New Year !

I have to admit in my case it (almost) worked : I did succeed in patching original Vol 6 .exe with Ducon2016's hack. Cabinet mode is still working (from Vol 5 version) and I do have 3 new tables. But the game is pretty unstable and randomly crashes. I've tried to also do the following : Install Vol 6, patch it, run the patched .exe (it crashes but seems normal, according to Ducon2016) and then tried to run patched Vol6 or original one version, without any success. The game remains unstable.

@sylabre : Could you please share your Vol6 patched executable file please ? I would like to give it a try. Thanks in advance

The patch is working great.

You need to have the good version and working.

Apply the patch and enter the serial you want , when freeze, close manually the game and restart

 

Je sais pas vous, mais avec un .bat et le logiciel rotate display toute les tables sont bien en vertical (bien mettre la définition verticale par ex 2160x3840 ou 1080x1920....)

Si il y en a d'intéressé, je posterais le .bat pour l'exemple.

Que c'est bon de retrouver les sensations des flips c'est bluffant

Je crois que je vais me faire mon propre flip avec dot, mais avant tout bien se renseigner car j'ai un peu vu tout et n'importe quoi

Great to see it works. At least, on your side. It doesn't from mine, despite several attempts, starting from scratch.

Would you be OK to :

- Share what versions you used ? Are they the one provided by Dave6722 above, from ElAmigos web site ? Or from elsewhere ?

- Detail step by step what you installed, and you did on your PC ? In my case, I've installed plaza-pinball.fx3.williams.pinball.volume.5 ISO (7.5GB), then Pinball FX3 update 10.12.2019 - 20.10.2020.exe patch. Firewall is disabled. Game is working well, all tables work, incl. Volume 6, but obviously all in landscape mode. I've patched pinballfx3.exe with instructions provided some threads above. I have then random behavior : Either the game is launching, I can launch tables but game could crash. Or I try to put any serial to have cabinet mode, and game crashed (as you confirmed) but when relaunching it, no change (landscape mode) and random crash (when game is launching). Really weird.

- Ideally, post somewhere modified .EXE you patched and works ?

Last, what do you mean by using rotate display soft ? Does it work to use it with PinballFX3 in landscape mode ? Does it launch it in cabinet mode ??

I understand your point and position, nevertheless, I've tried what you suggested some posts above, with .exe pushed by Gwyllion and it seems it doesn't work. The game doesn't launch, getting a black screen.

Could you please check from your side and expertise if you do succeed in patching the .exe from your side, and if so, just let me/us know ? If so, no need to post/share any .exe. Objective is just to know if what we need to patch is working or if it is me who has difficulties to apply it (what is highly probable ).

At least, that should help us all I guess.
