  1. Hi, I come from the old assemblergames-forum days. It was one hell of a community and a lot of obscure stuff got shared more then 10 years ago. We also had these things called DMCA takedowns now and then. 😇 I just stumbled across some old HDDs. Some started up, some did not. (yet) If interested, I could probably share some really oldskool retro stuff, after analyzing. The 1st thing that came to my eyes was a folder named SEGA TERA DRIVE, which one user (Shane McRetro) was kind enough to share back then. If I remember correctly it was a dev unit (yet no real dev units got sent out by SEGA anway(?)). https://assemblergames.org/viewtopic.php?t=42082 A complete HDD dump in original format + unpacked and restored files. This 100megabyte (yes, mega) also has old documentations, the dumped BIOS files, infos on TERA-NET, kanji DOS disks, Scans of the old Setup floppies and more. Looking at the dump with a hexeditor, there are remants of Sim City Code and the game stunts.exe aka. Stunt Car Racer. I didnt dig deeper back then, but it felt like as if a dev version of Sim City might have been on that system... Who knows. Maybe someone here has the time and energy to look into this? Most exe files do indeed work on very old hardware and there are interesting tools on it as well. Im happy to share it, as the things I can find here truly deserve sharing. Password: TeraDriven2026

    Any chance for a re-upload?
  3. Hi! Hope this is the right place to post. Because of reasons I left emulation behind years ago and just recently got a non fully working Lindbergh System (yellow) and various arcade dumps. Having enjoyed Mario Kart Arcade GP back in the days, I decided to get back, as this place still seems to be THE place for it. But I read those posts that EMULINE was taken down in 2023? Im still overwhelmed by the amount of dumps and the community efforts. This is fancy madness. 😃 Reading about JConfig for the 1st time, beeing able to play Mario Kart Arcade GP DX...as well as Tekno Parrot allowing it for all users now? For free? Sounded too good be true, but it is reality it seems. Some configurations required for JConfig for sure. Im still reading into it. It sounds so easy, starting JConfig then doubleclicking the mk agp exe, yet there are so many tutorials and videos...and someproblems. Seems like Tekno Parrot is the way to go here. Hopefully some of my questiosn can be answered: (Im not expecting anybody to do the googling for me. Im on it.) 1.) Id like to start with the Lindbergh. Most forums seem a bit outdated (dead) but include a lot of info already. Yet I fail to understand where I would need to start. Where would I start reading, to really start from scratch? 2.) Id like to play Americas Army Arcade by Global VR. I think I retrieved "America's_Army_1.01.82_Full.iso" from here back then. Any other way to play it without Tekno Parrot? How many versions might be out there? 3.) Looks like as Mario Kart Arcade GP DX VR never got dumped because of the built in security features ID+USB Update Keys? Keeping in mind most games had dongle like systems, I wonder what kind of security got used here. 4.) I read about the complete OS dumps that will run on VMs, if correctly configured, that is. Would there be somekind of "list" that describes the actual Hardware of these machines, except for the official manuals in PDF formats? 5.) Had there ever be (public) discussions on how complete OS-dumps had been secured? I read about a patch on MK DX, for example, that worked on older and newer versions. I found Versions 1.10 and 1.18. Where would I start reading into this, to understand additional things like BANAPASS and LAN gaming? For sure its all about googling and how much effort you put into it. Was hoping for a little kickstart again. Thanks for taking the time to read!
  4. I have done so. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi there, I stumbled across this site today...and was amazed what is possible in terms of ripping and/or emulating these days. Im still browsing the forum and...wow, just wow. A simple overkill of informations. I used emulators back in the days...in DOS... but as I stumbled across the "Global VR" games on this forum today, I started the search for the decent game "Americas Army" by "Global VR" from 2007, which I got reminded of. It guess its one of those "hard to find" ones...probably also because its just bad ? ^^ I would love to "play" this one again one day and hence my 1st post here turned out to be a request...sorry. Highest Regards
