  1. Confirmed “working” games are: Taiko no Tatsujin: Fully Playable Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle: Fully Playable Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited: Fully Playable! Razing Storm: Bootable (playing the intro videos and shootout demo) Deadstorm Pirates Special Edition: Bootable (playing the intro videos and shootout demo) Dark Escape 4D: Bootable (playing the intro videos and demo) AK48 Sailor Zombie Arcade Edition: Bootable (playing the intro videos and demo)
  2. So far, here’s the working games list we have compiled. These are the games that will boot on RPCS3. Brian218 did send over his work to the RPCS3 team, so now the public build should support native 357 emulation. Confirmed games are: Taiko no Tatsujin: Fully Playable Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited: Bootable (playing the intro videos and fighting demo) Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle: Fully Playable Razing Storm: Bootable (playing the intro videos)
  3. New progress yet once again! We finally got Razing Storm to boot! Thanks to Brian218!
  4. Hi all, I’ve been doing some research/experimenting with the game dumps and found some very interesting things. Before I share what I have found, please don’t ask me anything about Tekken 7 R2 4.XX, the time will come when I finish doing some more work on that version of the game. I will be talking about Tekken 7 vanilla as it’s the game dump I’ve been experimenting with the most, and some stuff about a Windows 10 version of my own multi, but I won’t go into specifics about that as I might make a thread about it. anyway, you all have seen that it was indeed possible to change the region and language of the games easily with a few edits in the game files, well I’ve discovered some interesting stuff lately. I did mention that I have access to a dump of the full ES3 Windows Embedded Standard 7 software and I’ve been using some of its scripts to make a custom modified version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC IOT image for the game. Well, the games and the scripts, with some heavy editing, work just like the ES3 image, which is pretty cool! The scripts now function and all the programs like the AMUpdater open and function, this is what I used for my custom multi for real hardware and the games play super well! Here’s a pic of the AMUpdater working on Windows 10 below, I’ve changed the background color to black for my own purposes but the blue background can be put back. I’ve also somehow got this version of Vanilla to finally work, it’s the version with all the characters and now all sections are selectable I will need some help by trying to patch out the error codes as if I try to boot the game in any other region other than Japanese, the game will throw up a “21-4 First Check Error”. I’ve learned that by suppressing the errors, you can boot it in any region, looks like the problem is that the ALL.NET files are region locked or something which is preventing me from booting in any other regions other than Japan. Hopefully you guys can help me to get this version playable for the community. EDIT: JAN 24,2021, nvm, I finally figured it all out

  5. This is awesome! Even though it’s not the original super 256 version but tbh they have no real differences at all. Great work to you guys! 😁
  6. Video progress of the game finally playable! Thanks again to Brian218
  7. New progress! We finally got DBZ to be fully playable using our patched digital I/O interface! Brian218 has definitely been working hard on this and has achieved it! Hopefully he can record some gameplay footage soon to post it here!
  8. Ok, no worries bro, I wish I could help dump it but I don’t have one of those machines with the software in my possession.
  9. Yo! Is it a 357 game or BNA1? If it’s a not a 357 game, ask somewhere else as this thread is for 357 emulation.
  10. Yep, the C partition would be completely protected using the Enhanced write filter while the other partitions would be set to dirty using FSUTIL.
  11. Yeah, I’ve been messing around with the files and figured out how to change the region and set the games to true offline, sometimes the test menu changes around and adds/removes some stuff. I still haven’t figured out how to add the difficulty selector but I feel like I’m getting close. On the original arcade OS, the perforce data would be stored in two different partitions :Data 0 and Data1. Kinda interesting that in normal windows 7 and 10 the data would get stored in the C partition. As for other stuff, I also changed around some optimization settings as each game behaves differently, especially Tekken 7 vanilla.
  12. @zetsurinis a very awesome bro and his multi has definitely been a huge blessing for me, I have also made a modified version of his multi using Windows 10 Enterprise IOT LTSC 2021 just as an experiment. I’ve also written a post on my findings messing around with the Namco System ES3 here:https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/namco-system-es3-teardown-and-some-basic-info.22930/ I’ve also been messing around the games files and have discovered a few cool things and have access to a decrypted ES3 OS image and also been playing around with it. @zetsurin I would absolutely love to continue working on this multi project if you don’t mind
  13. If you have the time, please do as I would also like to also play the game on real hardware as for emulation, even the current dumps for T6 are kinda hard to get up and running. We are trying our best though to get them to work on RPCS3.
  14. Thanks bro! Tekken 6/BR is one game we’re currently trying to get working but it’s seems to be a hassle as it crashes. I have some dumps that could possibly also need the protection removed.
  15. Obviously I was talking about actual hardware, not emulation, but the arcade still looks much better than the home ports through emulation as well

  16. Not quite, the ps3 and arcade version are in 720p, the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions are in 1080p. I forgot the Wii U version looks slightly terrible as it’s using the YUV color space for HDMI which results in a washed out image while the other versions support either YUV or RGB which looks much better. The arcade, Xbox360, and PS3 all have interlaced cutscenes (I have no fucking clue why) while the Wii U doesn’t, which looks nicer. I’ll start working on the comparison video I had planned, should be a treat for any Tekken fans

  17. I can definitely guarantee that yep, it’s the better version as it plays better. I do have every version of Tag 2 (XBOX360,PS3,WiiU, and arcade) and I do plan on making a comparison video. The only problem I have with the home versions is that they use something called dynamic resolution when switching/tagging characters which looks horrible. The arcade version didn’t have this and the textures/visuals were better on the arcade version. As for the pros on the console ports: more characters and better optimization/performance. The arcade version did have slight slow down issues on certain stages, most notably the fountain stage (more like the motion blur was disabled) and the Heihachi/Jinpachi Mishima stage when you do the floor break. but yeah, I’m guessing most of you don’t care about the home ports and would rather play the arcade version

  18. Nice, I’ll see what my team says and we’ll give you guys an update if anything changes. I’m not going to guarantee anything with TP but we’ll see where it goes. Well, I’m definitely smoking some good shit, that’s for sure

  19. This is gonna be controversial but no, we are not going to contact anyone from the Teknoparrot team anymore (or at least not yet) as we simply don’t want to have these games hidden behind a paywall. That’s not our goal/intention. Our main programmer has already done some great progress on the digital controller for the games. So far, DBZ is working with a keyboard using D-Input which is very cool. Hopefully the others can be spoofed as easily. If we do end up making a donation thingy for anything, it should be for his work, he’s done a lot that I’m very grateful for and has taken time out of his day to work on this stuff. Stuff he’s very passionate about and hopefully once it’s at a playable state, we can share it for all of you to enjoy. Again, just be patient as this work is NOT easy.
  20. And you’re totally right! Most of these games don’t have any replay value. We’ll see if we can do more progress on this project and if we can get more help ( if needed) I’m definitely on board! 👍
  21. No problem bro! I recently had some issues with the Arcade community and since they were hoarding these dumps from the public, I might as well release them to the public as I believe in everyone enjoying these games. You and A FRIEND are right, we’ve been showing you guys stuff but you have not been getting the chance to experience them. We will change that and if we can get some contact with reaver, we will see if we can speed things up. I’m leaving the Arcade community anyway so any dumps I currently got that I wasn’t allowed to release, I’ll release them anyway. Fuck them.
  22. Well, current progress and some new updates: We will be releasing several dumps over the next few days or the following year depending if we can get the controls fully implemented on our modified RPCS3 version. We will be releasing Tekken Tag 2 first in our list as it has been working well. Currently, some games have been a bit harder to work on like the gun games as we don’t have access to some parts like the arcade guns. Those will take a bit longer to figure out and get working. Currently, here’s the compatibility list. Not many working games at the moment but hopefully that will change in the coming months. NAMCO SYSYEM 3XX COMPATIBILITY LIST: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited: Working need to implement digital controls Tekken 6/BR: emulator crashes Taiko no Tatsujin games: working Razing Storm: USB KEY ERROR Sailor Zombie: Black Screen Dragon Ball Z Zenkai: Working Need to fix digital controls Gundam: corrupted files??? We sadly don’t have any of the DSP or Dark Escape 3D but if anyone has the dumps to those games (both already backed up or physical) we can take a closer look at them and if they need to be dumped, we can also do that.
  23. Thank you bro, we’ll see what we can do donation wise. We are literally just a bunch of young people who love arcade games and love experimenting with ways to make them run on emulation.
  24. Like one of my team members said to me “Good things come to those who wait”. To those who have been extremely patient, understanding, and nice, thank you all and forgive me! I will release 4.20 but you’ll have to wait a bit longer as I still have respect for those arcade operators who still have the game in their arcades and make money from it. edit: forget them fucking operators, I’ll see when I can release my 4.20 dump as well as others I got.
  25. Ok, then, please stop asking then, it’s very annoying that you keep asking even on the 357 emulation thread.
