  1. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

You only have to change 3 things in Virus-Man's release and he tells you what they are in the readme. For maximum simplicity extract to the root of c:. Also remember if you are on a laptop you can create an ms-loopback adapter and play on the go even when you have no network connection.

Probably after this is finished along with WMMT 3DX+ / 4
  3. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

I need to see if I can figure out why 2.11 depends on gdi32full.dll whereas 1.31.00 didn't. As far as I know there was no major update to the original machines host os and both are emulated on s-tools v4 so maybe there is some hope of getting it to run on Windows 8 and still avoiding 10, otherwise I am going to have to grab a cheap ssd and do a dedicated install just for this.

Should be in SegaTools\minime\schema\init\ but its easiest just to rename the folder to SegaTools.Broken while you test it.

Here is the previous version of stools for teknoparrot if it helps anybody. Make sure to backup your existing sqlite save database before extracting. SegaTools.zip
  6. (From the TeknoParrot thread...) @Kleyon are you by chance using MalwareBytes, Cylance or Windows Defender on this pc?
  7. Does it BSOD or just Black screen before it resets? In most cases black screen is power starvation / bad video card drivers / bad gpu. BSOD is bad driver, cpu, ram, motherboard or ssd. Cheapest solution would be to try another cpu + ram. Replacement cpus are fairly cheap but you will want to make sure you match the stepping of the original cpu when ordering a replacement chip. My bios only has the microcode for the K0 variant of the i3-540 (SLBTD), If I tried to put a C2 variant in it would likely refuse to post or would be otherwise unstable. You can also try moving the ram to a different dimm on the motherboard.

With Reaver tweeting about "major advancements" in the linux api wrapper that seems likely.
  9. I have fortunately never messed mine up this badly but I will try to help. "Waiting for Installation" means that the game partition is empty and the machine is looking for an installation disc. Can you try reimaging your ssd with the multi image? My concern is normally the game program appears in the test menu which makes me think some data is also written to flash during the installation process. I don't really know for sure though since Ive never run into this problem with mine. The "0025 Mainboard malfunctioning." is something separate. You will have to test your hardware. Start by reimaging the ssd and see what happens.
  10. If I recall not every version of Victoria supports reading the ata key from a text file. You need the version in the screenshot.

Until they shut up and put up I am just going to assume it was probably fake to rustle reavers jimmies.

I see you resolved it but if others have problems [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] Its also good practice on fresh installs to go into appwiz.cpl, go to turn windows features on or off and install dot net 2.x for legacy support.
  13. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

[Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] The ES3 came with an i5-3550 it seems. It has roughly 2x the power of the 650 you are looking at. I wouldn't chance it if I had to spend money on it. If you really are dead set on taking apart an SSF why not get an optiplex 9020 SSF that way you get haswell support?
  14. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

I wouldn't pay a dime for that. I have found standard ATX pcs of better specs in the recycling heap for free. The main issue with a SFF is they have bad cooling and use non standard parts. You won't be able to easily replace or upgrade the PSU and you will be stuck using crappy, inferior, low profile versions of video cards that generally cost as much or more then better cards made for regular ATX form factor.
  15. If you can not guess the key it was locked with using the data you supplied you will have to go through the key recovery procedures detailed by finisterre, though for the level of complexity it is probably easier to just pick up another ssd. There may be another method of unlocking that I am not aware of however most of the stuff I play with is not locked so I do not have the most experience in the topic of key recovery. Alternatively you can look to see if your SSD manufacture offers a toolkit that has the ability to reset the drive to its out of the box condition. If it is able to clear the key it will also most likely perform a secure erase on the drive which will erase all data on it.
