Now has a software rendered original scoreboard for lair/ace: -software_scoreboard

I have had no luck trying to run gtg, I keep getting cannot read Frame file errors, Do you have a working  .bat file ??

Taken from my cliffalt.bat, took the cliffalt.dat copied it to the gtg movie location as gtg.dat

Still no luck, Im not sure what is wrong I even tried using the launch games bat provided in the first post under the launcher, same error" daphne could not open framefile"

If you have your movie file in a different location to the framefile.txt then your command will need to include subdirectories. On the first line the double dots (..) takes it back 1 directory.

I don't use the DaphneLoader myself, I always run from batch.


wondering if you can show YOUR framefile listings
also could you show (screen shot) where the gtg directory is?

Thanks for the help, Everything is running with loader and bat file. Had my Frame file Wrong and seperate from the game, Just wondering I have on screen hints turned on in daphne loader but i am getting none during the game is yours working?

Another Question, When I start the game there is no play selection or hints?? It just flashes action on the bottom of the screen I have no idea what button to use since I dont know what play its running??

You are welcome, I have the hints turned on plus infinite lives. Hints show up for me when a wrong key is pressed when "Action" appears. I had to change my Button 1 2 3 to Z X C in input because <left alt> was causing problems in game.
Button 1 and 2 are hands/catch and feet/kick buttons


In this video I previously wrote down some plays to see if I could advance in game.

Game is still classed as "not working" or "not 100%"

 

I did find the owners manual. Pages 13 and 14 gives a description and instructions.

I have Daphne v1.0 2.2.11. I play to Dragon's Lair 2. I arrive at the sixth level (pyramids), I finish the lives and I can no longer continue. A writing (similar) appears on the screen: "you have not saved the Daphne Princess, you have failed. Game Over"

Why happens this? In previous levels I can continue.

 

2)

I do not remember. In room-games (arcade) the games Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, Cliffangher, Super Don Quixote and Badlands allowed to continue?

 

3)

DRAGON'S LAIR In the room with two blades that turn to the sides, when I have to press UP? The first move, before the monster with the red cloak

1) I know you have to get all of the golden treasures to beat the game. I dont think you could continue on the last level... you have to be really good and beat the last part in one try. 

 

3)To cross the bridge over the thorns, you must use audio cues. Listen to Dirk. He will make three noises, prompting you to hit UP after the third.

For question 1, the last level is seventh, I finish the game (NO continue) in sixth level.

I added Hypseus Singe, and the newer Singe 2 games to the first post. 

 

@Hyperscorpio

You can't add games to Daphne, and it is an abandoned project. Best you could hope for is someone porting it to Singe 2. 

I believe Cube Quest works in MAME though.

It will never be added to Daphne. 

 

Someone could possibly add it to Singe 2, but it's not as easy as just ripping the video. They would need to figure out how to extract the rom files to get all of the movements, and timing code to make a script to work in Singe.

Ok, but i heard was possible to unpack the chd file and get the files.

64bit Windows Port of Daphne/Hypseus

 

The first 64bit version of Daphne for Windows (support for up to 16Tb M2V files)

 

The version released yesterday had a one line bug. Ensure you grab the latest version again from:

If you have the previous version, you only need to take 'hypseus.exe' from the zip file and overwrite.

 

If you have the 32-bit version, and are upgrading, you will need 'hypseus.exe' and ALL the .dll files from the 64bit zip and overwrite the 32bit versions.

 

The 64bit version, should work markedly better on all the upscaled Daphne M2V files in this thread, so replace the 64-bit version of files within any Windows Template packages that you have (as described above).

 

I will attempt to update the Windows Template packages when I get time, but for the moment they contain the 32bit version.

 

Daphne enters the Windows 64-bit world.......

Request for feedback: Ninja Hayate

 

I had a request from a forum user to look at the Original Singe 1 Ninja Hayate game bytecode to fix the looping death scenes which you could only fix by quitting the game and starting again.

 

New version of 'hayate': v1.15....

This will allow you to continue when the bug is triggered, lives will decrease as normal and a generic death/respawn scene will be used after the work-a-round is applied. The game is now completable.

 

If the bug work-a-round is triggered it will log: "Death loop bug triggered - death scenes will be disabled"

 

  • If you don't die, you will not hit the bug.
  • If you die (and hit the bug in specific scenes), then the fixed version will allow you to continue (without death scenes).
  • If the bug is not triggered, the game will play as per original v1.1

It's the 1st time I have fun playing the game. I finished it without any problem. The only thing is that once I finished it and replay to the beginning, I can't see the death scene anymore. I don't know if this bug is also there in the original? Anyway, it's not important, since you just need to restart Singe.

 

I don't know what you fixed in the file Hayate, but man you fixed several problems. I try the old one just 1 minute to see the difference, and boum... in the scene where you need to chose 1 of the 3 doors, I have a bug. I saw several death scenes, than it continued to play automatically without dying.

 

So a Huge Thank for all these fix!:bravo:
