You can use it as standalone following JonB3x's instructions. I do not know if it works with TP.

For those complaining about the controls, I finally found a solution.

Using x360ce 4 (I was not aware this version existed!), everything works:

- Install x360ce

- map the wheel controls, tune the sensitivity, enable and test FFB to your liking (still in X360ce),

- minimize the app (there is no more generation of a DLL) ; do not close it

- Launch FFBPluginUI, choose DFGT (and not the Xinput Gamepad)

- Launch technoparrot UI and map the buttons to the Xinput gamepad

- Launch Daytona and enjoy!

Tested with: x360ce 4.12.8, FFBPlugin 2.1 and Teknoparrot 1.0.0.400

For my Logitech Driving Force GT Wheel, I used in x360ce:

- Anti dead zone:0

- Dead zone:0

- Sensitivity:50%

- Force Feedback : Enabled, Periodic Sine, 100%.

- Left motor:100%, 190ms

- Right motor:100%, 50ms

In FFBPlugin, strength: 70%

In Teknoparrot, Stooz zone disabled

Game settings: xinput enabled (DFGT is a directinput wheel but x360ce emulates an xinput one).

This has completely changed for me the game experience. You should try this!

Do you use Teknoparrot or the Standalone version?

The most simple way is to use Teknoparrot.

Go to VirusMan's site.

Select Teknoparrot and the Sega PC Based games.

Daytona is there.

Sorry. Maybe you have a problem of pre-requisites (DirectX or whatever). Have a look at the 1st pages to check what has to be installed.

I have started to install this game a long time ago, so I do not remember what I have installed 1st.

Have you tried this?

No he does not. TP does all the patches required on original exe so you do not require any hex edited exe

I did the code myself

From memory I think you need to go into shelldata.ini and change it to only have 1 cabinet and then it will go past the "network discovery"

So this was years ago, and I am having the same issue and I can not find any solution. Am I right in assuming that not all Nvidia cards are compatible??

how do you get this to run fullscreen?

In GameData/config.ini, you have this:

[FullHD]
ENABLE_FULLHD = 1
ENABLE_FULL_SCREEN = 1
# 0: disalbe
# 1: enable

I just checked that when I choose 0 for ENABLE_FULL_SCREEN, I get the game running windowed.

What card do you have and which fix are you talking about?

never mind fixed it

BTW playing it it makes the controller rumble a unreasonable amount. is there a way to change that. i assume it emulates the rumble of the wheel....

If you use the FFB Plugin, you can adjust the effects within the GUI.

Merci d'avance

Hi so I recently downloaded and have been playing Daytona USA 3 after finding this thread however I'm having trouble launching the shell.exe. I have the DK2 thing installed and I have it set to compatability for Windows 8 but it just crashes immediately when it loads. Outside of that the game works perfectly for me

So disregard my last post I found a solution. I'm making a new post for the sake of others potentially googling why Shell.exe won't launch despite having the neccessary dk2win32 driver. The Shell.exe is sniffing around for an audio output, in my experience, on the rear panel audio of your PC. When it fails to detect any output it'll close immediately. So if like me you typically use front panel audio or use HDMI audio, you're gonna need to plug something into the rear panel audio and set that to your default device. Hope this helps people if it was clear enough

I'm playing this using TP and no dk2 drivers installed.

Never had a problem with it.

Daytona Championship USA is the name of the game posted here on this topic.

Someone calls it Daytona 3 and I don't think it's wrong :)
