Any idea about vf5. Is there a FPS limit option within the files somewhere, or am I on the right path about the 50hz refresh rate of my TV interfering with it?

Good Evening everyone. I hope you are all safe and well. Now, decided to fire up TP v597 and have found two problems with the following games; Sega racing tv still won't run at full screen, only a very small window. Any fix available please? VF5 runs too fast and i have set my radeon limit to 60fps as well as my pc display to 60hz. My tv is running at 50HZ, Could that be the reason it speeds up? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. The "mirror screen" option you mention, is that the display option that is shown as "extend" or "merge" in the display options, or do I literally set up on two displays temporarily then disconnect one so it's only my TV? If not, I'll look into the cheap usb sound card and connect it that way. Anyway, thanks again 👍

Good evening all. After configuring and testing my set up for Teknoparrot, i have come across and perplexing issue with my sound/audio for some games, basically dirty driving and h2o overdrive. I'll explain my set up as best i can and leave any help or solutions to you clever people. So, i recently decided to connect an old radeon hd7850 to my m93p tiny form factor, via a egpu set-up, to enable me to run more demanding games. I found that even with the latest bios i was unable to disable my onboard graphics and make my egpu the main display running the pc. So, through limited hdmi ports and a splitter i am able to switch between hdmi 1 and 2 on my tv and run one signal on the hd7850, the other on my integrated hd4600 chipset, which allows me to run more graphically intense games like star wars battle pod, vf5 c and so on. This method stops the integrated chipset trying to default to itself. It works and that's fine. Before anyone asks, i did try to use advanced graphics option to run the games/emulators on the hd7850 but because, at the time, the egpu wasn't allowed to connect as the main display via one hdmi lead, it didn't work, hence the need to split the signal to hdmi 2. I also tried disabling hd4600 via device manager and reg edit options but to no avail. Now, with the split hdmi set up, all games launch and play sound except dirty driving and h2o overdrive. Ironically, these both ran perfect with sound before the egpu set up. I've tested the games on the hd7850 and no sound plays at all but, switch to the intel 4600 signal and the sound plays perfectly? I checked device manager and noticed that whilst on the hd7850 set up, the intel hd audio driver was not present so i tried to install it and even though it shows, still no sound unless i switch to the integrated set up?? I cannot work out why? I've tested different hdmi leads, different TP versions, reinstalled drivers, entered test mode sound settings and config files but nothing makes a difference. My choice is to use the intel hdmi set up for those two games, then switch to the hd7850 signal to play all the other games and it seems silly to me. The one thing i noticed was whilst going to sound settings via control panel and seeing the tv set as default audio device, it flickers from disconnected to connected for a split second and when i click on general tab it suddenly says "the device you are configuring is disconnected". This happens in both hdmi set ups. When i go back, it shows again. So there you have it. It's a strange problem that hopefully can be fixed by someone on here much more clever than me. Good luck and goodnight. Be safe everyone!

I'm also on 576 and no sound. It's frustrating to say the least because my other games all run fine with sound and i'm getting sound on other emulators and general audio apps like spotify/youtube etc... I've tried fresh roms, backed up versions and ones from virus-m@n's website but no difference. Oh well, i will have to sleep on it. Goodnight pal..

I looked in the dd roms folder and found operatorsettings in both text and bak files, changed the volume to 100 and still no difference. Also, test mode for both games proved fruitless as well. Question is, are these the correct files?

I took a look at the test menu in H2O and it said volume was 80 and not mute, ( should of mentioned that, sorry). I'll take a look later. As ever, cheers👍

I'm currently sorting through my set up so that I can back it all up and have found the following issues with two games that I never had any trouble with before. Both H2O and Dirty Driving run great accept that no sound is present. It's suddenly stopped. I've gone back to three different tp version but no difference. I seem to remember that there were audio files / runtime files that needed to be installed whilst setting up tp. I'm I right or wrong? They run in windowed mode or full screen but no audio. Any help please.

Not to worry, i've got it running.
  10. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

Good evening, i've given star wars another try but when it launches, i get projection error, a womens voice asking me to get satff and an alarm going off?? Tried all patches and resolutions but no luck. Any advice please.

Strange...I made an exception in defender. I'll double check it. Goodnight👍
  12. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

Ok. This is a new one on me....launching star wars battle pod, with patches, and i get this message; "cannot find openparrotx64/openparrot64.exe" Any ideas anyone?
  13. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

Well, overnight I managed to get both versions "sort of" running. Firstly, the non-special edition looks and sounds great but is running too fast, whilst the special edition runs well until you lose, then it freezes as you try to insert a coin, saying it can't render 1024x720? I'm assuming that's why there is an option to activate cheats for unlimited life/coins. Any advice?
  14. Teknoparrot Loader | Arcade PC

It ran first time. I have a theory...if I'm wrong let me know. Because my emulator pc is a tiny small form factor size I managed to get the graphics card attached via an egpu set up. Now, I have an integrated graphics chip that is running the display, whilst the card runs graphics. My theory? If I connect the graphics card directly to my TV, I assume that it will have the disired affect on the resolution situation that occurs within teknoparrot. What do you think? Started up then crashed. I need to attach the GPU to the second TV hdmi because I don't have the option in my bios to switch to my radeon card and using graphics options in windows 10 to tag budigeloader to run only on radeon GPU doesn't make any difference. I'm wondering whether it's worth it. Is there anyway to run the game with jconfig/game loader?

well, it worked! no sound at the moment and when i use xinput controller and try to insert coin or start, it crashes. i've gone into test mode but cannot find the option to turn ticket to coin. display and sound issues are probably due to radeon display set up but i'm happy with the knowledge that it can run...sort of
